Of Pillows and Pampering

Of Pillows and Pampering

Perhaps something had happened to her family that drove her to marry a middle-aged man for money. That man might be able to give her a lot of things, but not love. Sooner or later, he would get her back. Sally followed Pierre nervously back to the villa, the man with black silk over his eyes was leaning back in his wheelchair, listening to Ol' Joe reading him a novel. When she entered, Ol' Joe was reading the part in Anna Karenina where Anna decided to divorce Karenin. Sally frowned in displeasure. She had only just got married, and Ol' Joe was reading Anna Karenina-a book that left people repulsed by love, and no one would be happy with that.

The Ninth Cipher

The Ninth Cipher

Its branches swayed gently in a breeze that carried the scent of rain. Someone was sitting beneath it. An elderly man. His clothes were plain. His hands were stained with ink. He quietly wrote inside a worn notebook. Without looking up... he spoke. "You took longer than I expected." Adrian stepped closer. "Who are you?" The old man smiled. "That's the wrong question." He finally looked up. His eyes were calm. Filled with endless kindness. "You should ask..." "...why I'm alone." Adrian remained silent. The old man closed the notebook.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The wind rushed through the open doorway. Rain soaked the floor. The storm was getting worse. Much worse. Then Lily looked outside. And froze. Because someone stood in the rain. A figure. Motionless. Watching the house. God. Not again. Fair. Not another mystery person. Reasonable honestly. Then lightning flashed. And everyone saw him. An old man. Very old. Holding a lantern. Despite the storm. Despite the wind. The lantern remained lit. Impossible. Then the old man spoke. His voice barely louder than the storm.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

The Billionaire CEO And His Substitute Wife

The Billionaire CEO And His Substitute Wife

She could not help but comment, “Mr. Young is very lucky for having found such a virtuous woman.” Emmy only smiled without saying anything. Thinking about what had happened earlier, she posed what she was doing, and looked at Sue before she raised her concerns, “Mrs. Sue, can the old man read? I was thinking of getting him some olden-day books so that he does not get too bored.” Earlier, the old man had looked at their marriage certificate, but he had not been able to tell that she was not Lynn. After thinking about it, Emmy could only come to one conclusion, the old man could not read, or else, he would have realized that something was wrong.

From The 28th Century

His face was not visible, so, Soheila could not figure out who was this old man. His figure was not the same as the librarian and so is his voice. Soheila gazed at the old man who passed her hiding spot. The librarian can still stand straight while this old man had a hunchback or round back. “I know you're hiding somewhere. Come out, dear...” The old man said in a creepy crack voice. His head was roaming around the library. He went to the shelf where Soheila was at. (Congratualions, you knew I was hiding. It's good that I haven't got some books yet.)

Loving A Stripper

“Yeah, but not as much as my girl.” “Every man dreamed of the chance to meet a perfect woman,” the old man said and breathes deeply. For the first time, the old man tasted his cappuccino. “I found one, but I lost her.” Andrius felt sadness in the old man's voice. He then stared at Mr. Johansson. Even the expression on his face was full of sadness. The old man stood up and held out his right hand. “Good luck for tomorrow, Mr. Novitch,” he said and immediately turned and left.

Craving the Older Man: (A Collection of Spicy Stories)

Craving the Older Man: (A Collection of Spicy Stories)

Mira My mouth fell open, and I couldn’t even hide my surprise. This man was gorgeous. I had seen good looking men before, but he was on an entirely different level. “Mira, meet my dad,” Anna repeated, snapping me out of my completely inappropriate thoughts about all the ways I could gladly devour this man. Anna and I met at a bookstore last month. We clicked instantly and became close fast. Since then, she had been begging me to come over to her house, and now here I was, standing in front of the most breathtaking man I had ever laid eyes on.

Ex Wife's Revenge, Make him Regret

Ex Wife's Revenge, Make him Regret

I tried to act calm even with the tension brewing within me. “You do.” He insisted, like he could tell I was lying. His gaze was so intense, but I wasn't going to ruin everything by surrendering. “I love Ryan. He didn't have to offer me anything to love him.”I answered calmly but I feared the old man saw my fear through my eyes. The old man chuckled. “You mean to tell me that my grandson…a renowned playboy has finally decided to give true love a chance just after I let him off his position? Sounds like a bloody fantasy to me.” He chuckled again, sipping from his wine.
