Suddenly, a fragile hope sparked inside me. I almost argued with myself. Did this count? Did this count as proof that Mom still loved me? It had to count… Otherwise, why would she stop me from leaving? I was still trying to convince myself when a cold, sinister voice came from behind me. "Hey. What do you think Mom will buy: shrimp or ribs?" I spun around. Suri was standing behind me. "Don’t bother guessing. Mom will definitely buy shrimp, because shrimp are my favorite," she said with absolute certainty, not a trace of guilt, only a provoking look in her eyes.

The guy was not taking a hint and blocked our path. "Come on, let's be friends! My name's Wilson Cobb. I deal in real estate. How about you give me your digits, beauty?" Christina's brow creased with distaste. I stepped in front of Christina, fixing him with an icy stare. "Buzz off." "Whoa! You've got some nerve, kid!" Wilson looked me up and down with a sneer. "Do you even know who I am, talking to me like that?"

Elle was loving working as a librarian, she enjoyed it very much,it kept her busy and gave her something to look forward to every morning. Even though her job back home was guaranteed to be hers again if she went back because she worked for her father in his company, she loved being a librarian here. She loved being surrounded by books and helping people find what they were looking for. It was a peaceful job, and she found joy in the quiet routine. One day, while out on a walk, Elle stumbled upon a small art gallery. She had always been fascinated by art, and the gallery's pieces caught her eye. But the podium in the middle was empty, like the book which stood there was taken. I look over at Colby confused, he only shrugs his shoulders telling me he didn’t have a clue where the other book could be. I take a step closer to the podiums to see what books were left, perhaps that could give us an idea of what the book missing could be called. On the first podium sat a reddish colour book, it was very dusty which tells me no one had picked it up in years to read. I reach over and wipe some of the dust from the cover, this revealing the title. “The Forgotten Truth”.
