The latter shook her head at that. “No, you’re right. I should not shield her from what awaits us tomorrow, and in the end, it is up to her do what she wanted with it.”

After a few more minutes of chatting with each other, Aedre had decided to call it quits and sleep, telling the other to wake her up at dawn to take the next shift. She nodded, a promise.
