This time I could tell that those that were around aren't rogues nor are they prey. I knew that those who were after me were pack members or probably warriors. I knew that this place wasn't built on a pack's ground, and I had intentionally done that. I don't want anything to do with packs of wolves. I knew that there would be a massacre in the pack, and I wouldn't want to spill the blood of innocent people who weren't in support of what was going on. I won't want to be like my uncle, who doesn't care about spilling the blood of the innocent. I knew that fighting a pack of wolves would make me no different from my uncle.

The words struck Hart like a blow, for he knew that the enemy’s cause was built on the manipulation of ancient pain—a pain that the pack had endured all too well. After several hours of observation, the elite team retreated silently back toward their rendezvous point. They’ve allied with the rogues.” A murmur of shock rippled through the crowd, but I barely heard it. The Blackthorns. They were one of the most powerful packs in the region, and their alliance with the rogues meant trouble—serious trouble. I looked over at Noah, who was standing a few feet away, his face unreadable. He had warned me that something darker was coming. Was this what he meant?

He tried to ignore the sound but the knocks are getting louder and louder. Jared was having a nightmare when he was woken up by continous knock on the door. He lazily wiped his tears that the nightmare caused and get up to check out who knocked because he didn't realized that he locked it before he had fallen asleep, and he got annoyed when it was just his assistant, Kane. "What happened to your eyes, sir?" Kane asked when he saw Jared's swollen eyes. "Don't mind me." He said. "Did you cry, sir?" Kane asked him again, but this time he's trying to annoy his boss. That made Jared glare at him to make him stop from asking about his swollen eyes.

“And we’ve been all hoping that someone will turn the power back on.” “Well, that’s not going to happen. The local pack took out substations and distribution power lines. Frankly it’s almost as if they were working for us… I mean,” he caught himself. “Sorry, force of habit. As if they are working for the Order of Nexsis. Because they beat us to it… f-k, sorry! Them. This is just f-king confusing. The werewolves beat the Order of Nexsis to destroying the power.” “Who the f-k is the Order of Nexsis?” Aislen wondered.
