His gaze was calm, but it felt like it could strip me bare. “I want you to understand,” he said finally. “Everything you’ve been told about this palace, about my family… about the Queen Mother… is only part of the story.” I felt my stomach tighten. “What do you mean?” “The Queen Mother isn’t just testing you,” he continued. “She’s planning something. Something that could destroy the King—or destroy you—if you don’t act first.”

Alpha Trent was the one to step forward this time. “Stupid question get’s stupid answer. Tread carefully Alpha.” I said. “When you win then you will automatically become the Queen. I guess I’m just curious as to what you have planned for afterwards?” He shrugged. “Let’s just get threw this fight first shall we. "How?" The elderly woman's face was unreadable. "The Queen has to decide between the two." I became motionless for a while, my arms crossed at my chest as I tried to hide the fear that ravaged me. Her comments felt like a death sentence as they weighed heavily on my chest.

She never wanted to find out what would happen if she dove into those depths. Her tentacles of magic pushed against the queen’s shield and held. The Queen has gotten over her shock and she was livid. She wanted her dead and Freya felt it in her magic. It was rabidly eating away at her darkness, desperate to dominate her. But Freya was also pissed. He tentacles pulsed and pushed the queen’s shield back. Her eyes were narrowed on the bitch of a woman as her darkness overwhelmed her shield, pushing it back slowly and surely. Once her magic met the queen, the bitch would die.
