I am beyond fate, I am destiny’s undoing.” Silence swallowed the courtyard, the very air held its breath. Even the sky held its blue-black stillness, waiting for what would come next. Nyra’s eyes gleamed molten-white on one side, storm-gray on the other. She looked upon the three who had given themselves, Fendrel, Kharon, Seraphiel, and spoke one final promise:

I asked, a sudden fear gripping me. "He's a demon and he is not going to change. I see a fierce battle between you both. My queen, it is your destiny to slay him." She said instead. "No," I replied, trying not to break down. "It has been written in your destiny, you can't change fate." She said. "Is there no other way?" I asked her and she shook her head. "Besides, haven't you noticed that you are..." She began but was suddenly disrupted by the presence of Camila.

I tried to get closer to him, calling his name, but the closer I ran the further he became.

A second portal cracked open, spilling light and silence. Queen Destiny entered, flanked by Argun and two of her great hounds. She wore a long white robe layered over a floor-length blue dress that shimmered like the sea at midnight. Her jeweled crown glinted with history and loss. The hounds—beasts of legend—wore encrusted collars, their eyes glowing softly. Argun’s white military garb bore the royal emblem, pristine and solemn.

I'm starting a new novel! I'm so excited to share with you guys the other novel I've been plotting lately. Queen Of Ace What is this novel all about? =If you haven't read my first novel, His Fragile Flame, I uploaded in this app, this is only "a part" of it but can be read as "stand-alone". This story was written in different character's perspective and her back story before His Fragile Flame. You don't have to read the first book to understand this novel, and I think it's better if you read this before that because HFF has spoilers.
