I answered him. "Woah really!" he said like he was amazed by me. He picked a paper and read a part. "Are you into a romance novel?" I asked him because he seems to enjoy reading my works. "Not really but this is a blast. They are really sweet and uh...is it the ending?" he asked. "Nope, that was only the 4rt chapter of that story," I explained. "Ohh, then what would be the ending of this?" He asked again. I am afraid that I'll be spoiling my story but I think he will not read it anyway so...

in Class Nine, I had read all the short stories in Nisim’s English text book. Back then, I felt that those stories ended quite abruptly, often leaving me with the feeling that the publishers only considered publishing a portion of the story. How foolish was it of me to look for missing pages while reading Ruskin Bond’s The Thief! This story ended with the thief starting to learn writing a little more than his name! And I was hoping that there would be pages describing what happened to the thief, after he had learnt reading and writing. The what-happened-next thing was missing from the story. I didn’t get to know whether the thief and his benefactor, the writer, Arun lived happily ever after

A thing with a location was a thing you could bear to wait for. He finished the book. He closed it. He sat with the quality of having finished something, which was not the same as the quality of having ended something. Finishing was completed. The ending was a loss. The therapy would be an ending, and he would hold it as an ending, with all the weight that endings deserved. But the after—the after was not an ending. The after was a different kind of thing.

This is the one!” I exclaimed. “But it’s a lot to read,” Kingston complained. “You forgot that I’m a fast reader,” I smirked. As I scanned through, I came across the word “Symbiotic Bond,” and the phrase triggered something.
