“Then let’s get started. We have work to do.” Luna felt a shiver run through her. Work. Rebuilding. Fighting back. The thought both exhilarated and terrified her. She had always been a fighter, but this was different. This wasn’t just about music. This was about reclaiming herself, her voice, her identity, and someone had offered to stand beside her, not in front, not behind, but beside. For a moment, she let herself imagine it. No executives, no predatory producers, no whispering tabloids. Just her and Adrian, plotting a comeback that would silence the doubters and, more importantly, remind her why she had started singing in the first place.

She said cutting me off. "Thanks for reminding me” I said rolling my eyes "What are friends for?” She smiled. " I miss you, honestly" She said after a while and I turned to her with a smile " ever since you left for the country side, you changed a bit and I've always felt so betrayed but since you've told me all about it, I completely understand, all this is too hard on you so Luna promise me if you ever need to talk or escape, you'll call me" " I promise" I said, almost tearing up as I held her hands

The morning after the public debut should have been quiet. Should have been filled with the soft warmth of Dante's arms and the lingering sweetness of finally being seen. Instead, Luna's phone began buzzing at 6 a.m., the notifications stacking faster than she could read them. Skirmishes at the Silvercrest border. Kael's loyalists gathering in the old training grounds. Challenges shouted against the new hierarchy. Whispers of rebellion spreading through the pack like wildfire. Luna sat up in bed, the silk sheets pooling around her waist, her silver eyes scanning message after message. Beside her, Dante stirred, his hand finding her back with instinctive concern.

“Lily… no… no… oh my god… no. Not you too” Sybil let out a loud sob from behind him, collapsing onto the porch, her whole body shaking. The others stood back, stunned into silence, some murmuring prayers under their breath. The pack had lost their new Luna. Less than a week after burying her parents. Behind me, I could hear the whispers begin to spread. “What happened?” “Was it an attack?” “Who would do this?” I could feel their eyes settling on me, the weight of their gazes burning into my back.

Luna Cynthia announced and the majority of members clapped while a few didn't. Luna Cynthia was confused. She did not want to rule a divided pack. She decided to get to the root of the rejection. "Mark Birgam, why aren't you clapping?" Luna Cynthia called him out. "I don't believe you. Alpha Kane has been nothing but good to me. I don't believe you!" Mark Birgam said and all the few rebels clapped. Luna Cynthia was so angry. How dare Mark Birgam question her authority yet he was just a nobody.

When I walked out of his chambers, the guards in the hallway refused to meet my eyes; they had heard, or they had guessed, and their silence was its own kind of cruelty. I found Lila waiting for me at the edge of the celebration grounds, her face pale and her eyes red from crying. "I heard," she said, pulling me into a hug so tight I could barely breathe. "The whole pack is talking about it. He announced the rejection to his Beta before you even woke up. Everyone knows, Rya." "Of course he did." I pulled back, and I was surprised to find that I had no tears left. "He wanted to make sure everyone knows I am nothing, that I'm not good enough to be their Luna."

THE CURSED REBIRTH (Chapter 4) (Point of View: The Luna) My initial reaction was one of coldness. The kind of cold that seeps into bone, cruel as treachery and sharp as glass, rather than the soft coolness of dawn air caressing bare skin. I could have sworn—no, I was positive—that I had taken my last breath, but my chest rose in a startled gasp. I recall the burn of the poison and how my vision became blurry as the moonlight above me broke into shards. I recall Lyra's sly smile and her hushed victory. I recall my friend Kael's eyes widening in shock, but it was too late to save me.

"Mason, please… I love you. You have to trust me" He laughed cruelly.“You? Luna of Blackwave? What a joke.” I turned and saw Chizzy in the crowd… smiling. Triumphant. My chest tightened. She did this. "What did you do?" I screamed at her. "This was your plan, wasn’t it? To steal him away?" But before I could get to her, Mason grabbed me and shoved me to the ground. He stood in front of her protectively. “Since you’ve chosen betrayal,” his voice rang out, cold and unforgiving, “I, Alpha Mason of the Blackwave Pack, reject you as my Luna.”

Cassian leaned against the far wall, arms crossed, that half-smile sharp enough to infuriate me. Silence fell as I took my place at the head. Elena spoke first. “The Luna’s… episode in the corridor has been witnessed by six guards. Attacking our own people. Uncontrolled power. She is no longer fit to stand as Luna. We demand she be restrained until the Trial—or removed from the position entirely. The packs cannot afford instability when Dominic’s forces are massing at the borders. Not when we are expecting a war. Murmurs of agreement. Vuk added, “My daughter Liora is prepared to step forward. She's Pure blood. A Proven loyalty. No… complications.”

“I’m sick of your voice. I’m not six years old anymore. You’re gonna have to do better than that.” “Watch it,” Mouth breathed warningly. I pointed at Reed Taylor. “I want him. Give him back to me.” The Tip-Toe Shadow cackled in delight. “You want the puppet? My new friend? Oh, but I think not, mmm. It was lonely without you, Luna. No one to whisper to. No one to run my fingers across in the night. I needed, mmm, someone to play with, and someone came. He’s a lovely one, don’t you think? And he knows things. A great many things. He knows where the New You is.”
