The Rescuers Down Under: Jake Novels & Stories

I trekked for a while, until my legs and knees started falling apart, then I decided to call Jake. He picked the first time the phone rang. "Hello Vee, I have been calling you. What's up?" He asked , in a rather harsh tone. "I am sorry, I actually saw the calls but I couldn't pick up. I am in a deep mess right now and need help. "I need help Jake, or else I will die" I cried. "Calm down baby, where are you? I mean where is your location?" He asked. "I don't know, I honestly don't know where I am. I am in a very far place" i responded.

Fatima glanced back just in time to see Jake and Selena emerge, panting but unharmed. “Keep moving!” Jake barked, motioning for his men to follow. “This isn’t over. Jena’s going to know we took him.” Fatima turned to Chris, cupping his face with both hands. “Are you okay? Can you make it?” He nodded weakly, his eyes filled with gratitude. “I’m okay, thanks to you.” Jake sheathed his sword, giving Fatima a small, proud smile. “You did good,” he said. “But we need to get back. This was just the beginning.”

“Legolas, please don’t do this.” “I wouldn’t have to if you had died in that fire or got blown up in the explosion, now I have no choice. Don’t try any of your fancy moves on me, it won’t work.” “So it was you who did those things.” “We’re wasting time,” he said, raising the knife he raced towards her. Now, let’s go back a little to Jake and the cops: When Jake went to go in the window he found it locked and there were bars across it, he couldn’t get in. “Fuck,” he swore and going back around the front he saw the cops and George there, trying to get in, they had heard her say the safe word.

It just had to be. Weeks turned into a month. We weren't living in luxury, but we were alive. We searched for the odd, glowing fruits that were safe to eat. We drank from the streams' clear, refreshing water. We learned the grove's rhythms, when its energy rose and fell, and when it got quiet, like a roar. We were okay. We were out of sight. And they were making us new. But the world outside had not stopped. Jake came back one night as the grove's bioluminescent light grew stronger with the setting sun. He had been on a dangerous scouting mission to the edge of the territory. He had a serious look on his face.

I had no idea what I’d do once I got to the border, but I’d figure something out. “Okay,” Jake said. “You come with us. All I want is the key to the vault. Once I have that, you can have the two men. And the bitch for all I care. You three, ride with me,” Jake said, pointing at three of his men. “You two go with Johnson.” It had worked. I’d somehow managed to convince Jake that I was on his side, at least for the time being. Now all I had to do was figure out a way to protect Trista and the men she was with when we got there.

He walked around the bike and waited for Megan to come on behind him. It was horrible. A chase, gunshots, a strange rock fall, but they were alive. Jake didn’t realise what had happened before the rock had started to crumble. He thought that it was the shock of adrenaline and fear that had caused his body to react as it did. He was glad to have escaped. They then sped off towards Megan‘s uncle‘s hut. ****** Cardinal Richard reappeared at the apartment where the kidnapped ring-keeper was being held. He entered, surprising the man who had been left behind to guard the prisoner who choked on his food when he saw the cardinal come through the door.

"She said no. That means no." Tension mounted. I could see the first trucker weighing his options. Whether this was worth a fight. Finally he let go of my arm and shoved me away. "Whatever. Bitch wasn't worth it anyway. She stinks." He walked away muttering and climbed into his truck and I stood there shaking. The rescuer turned to me. "You okay?" "Yeah. Thank you." "No problem. Name's Jake." He paused. "You really do need a ride?" I hesitated.

Jake asked me to join teams with Bulldog as his first team is attending Tank’s wedding this weekend. We spent the first day checking the house out from the outside; nothing was happening well apart from the constant stream of clients going in and out of the property. I’ve been handed some pictures of the girls we were sent to rescue, and Alyona Mishka’s sister is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I’ve rescued many women while working for Jake Swift. I push any thoughts of Aloyna from my mind; I’m here to do a job and cannot afford to lose concentration.

“Jazz, do you see it too?” “Yes,” Jazz stepped past him. “Okay, lets go. I had enough of these games in the wood.” “I agree,’ Jack, Jazz and Jason was quickly making their way towards that road privately hoping it would lead them to safety. Monster truck guy stood rubbing the dogs heads. He watched as the cabin that was his playground was going up in flames. He was relieved since he discovered the divers in the lake, he knew it was just a question of time before the authorities would arrive. He had left for too long too many clues around. It’s time that he found another playground. He certainly intent on catching that life wire who stayed so closed to her husband.

As much as he wanted to stay down here and help fight, he knew he would only get in the way. From talking to Gamma Jess and her team he learned that the only reason they even knew of this attack was due to two brave pack members who ran for help, almost getting killed in the process. He felt his son grab his arm and pull him up the remaining distance. “Hey Dad.” Jake said as he walked him over to Beta Violet who was firing off round after round. “Damn it.” She cursed. “They keep running into the trees.” Jess made it to the roof and ducked walked over to the grenade launcher. “I got something for that.” She said as she grabbed the radio. “Hot Mama to Big Papa come in Big Papa.”
