"Stay on the right and drive slowly." Without hesitation, Alanna switched lanes to the right. She could see the van following her through the rearview mirror. Afraid of losing focus, she gripped the steering wheel tightly. But her heart was pounding in her ribcage. It felt as if it might jump out of her chest at any moment. Alanna continued holding onto the steering wheel tightly and glanced at the car behind her from time to time. The car behind probably knew she had noticed. It sped up and rushed towards her.

"Now, you are going to step in the circle in the middle of this platform. Try not to move much. I will meet you at the other end." He was pulled forward at about half the speed most escalators run. Stopped in the middle of the machine to rotate him a full 360 degrees and continued out the other side. "Alright, you can step down over here to this machine. Place both of your hands flat on the pad. The screen will tell you when you can remove them." The pad grew rather hot under his hands before the screen beeped at him. "Looks like they are both good to go. Welcome to the Constellation, your majesty."

I smiled at him, “Any tips to pass?” He was smirking while staring at me for a few minutes before he answered, “Just choose the right one.” He paused with a charming smile, “Like choosing me.” I giggled, surpassing myself from laughing, “You can't be Mr. Right, King.” “But I can be your Mr. Right now.” He replied with his most captivating smile that stole my heart.

“Let’s move.” The plan was to clear out as much of the first wave as possible. While most of the king’s defenses would be distracted by the attack, several of us were going to sneak in through a tunnel in the wall meant to let out ocean water from the high tide. We gathered Thomas and Rose on our way. Cat and the others would stay behind.

I trembled with rage and tried calling again, only to discover I'd been blocked. Just then, I received a message from Jennifer through WhatsApp. It was a short video. The video depicted Jennifer and Huxley passionately kissing in the office as if no one else existed. "Stop calling. Interrupting someone while they're blowing off steam is a crime worthy of death."

Alexander's voice breaks through the weighted silence with the enthusiasm only a young child can muster, "now you dance!" I begin to move, starting with the most basic of steps that anyone could follow—a simple side step where my right foot moves to the right while she mirrors me, her left foot moving to the left in perfect synchronization. Then comes the close step, my left foot sliding to meet my right while her right foot meets her left.
