The Path Less Traveled

The Path Less Traveled

I only had a year to find my answers, no distractions was a good way to start. "Venus, honey, are you ready?" My mom called me from the kitchen, as I opened my bedroom door. "Yes, mom be right there." I called back. Walking towards the kitchen, I was singing Famous Last Words out loud. "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone, honey if you stay I'll be forgiven, Nothing you can say can stop me going home. Can you see my eyes are shining bright? Cause I'm out here on the other side of a jet black hotel mirror and I'm so weak..."

No Road Home

No Road Home

Three years after my release from prison, I ran into my ex-wife in the presidential suite of the most exclusive hotel in Bayshore. It had been years since I last saw her. She was draped in a silk robe, radiating wealth. When she recognized me, something unreadable passed through Cecily Monroe's eyes. "On the day you got out, why didn't you wait for me to come pick you up?" I said nothing and handed over the takeout. Her gaze dropped to the scar on my wrist, and her breath caught. "I went too far with that. But you've always been tougher than Adrian. You can always get back on your feet." She was talking about what happened six years ago, when Adrian Burke was involved in a catastrophic

Untamed Love

Untamed Love

The day went on smoothly. It was already dark outside and it was about 07:00 pm .Dylan was driving, alone. He took a shortcut where only few people knew tgis road existed. The street was dark and empty. There was that one streetlight flickering like a candle, threatening to extinguish itself at any moment. His car's headlight was enlightening the dark area that was dirty and garbage ridden. On one side of the road there were metal fences on either side rusted and stained to look like blood. Driving down it was weird enough. No sound, no other cars, and no houses. It was pitch black with no lights except his own headlights. At the opposite side of the road there was that old abandoned factory watc

Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

I thought about the specific and building quality of the water behind the thing. I thought: it's going to happen. I thought: and you are in the car with him. I thought: and that is all right. The road appeared. "Here," I said. "Turn here." He turned. The road was the one I remembered, the specific and particular quality of a Connecticut back road in November, the stone walls on either side, the particular and skeletal quality of the trees without their leaves, the way the road curved through the landscape with the unhurried and specific quality of a road that had been there long enough to know where it was going and was not in a hurry to arrive.

The Price Of Fate

The Price Of Fate

Nyra’s POV The road was too quiet. That was the first thing that started to feel wrong the moment Ronan drove us away from the mercy centre and towards the cabin. Not wrong in the obvious way. Wrong in the kind of way that made my skin crawl because the world outside looked untouched, as if none of it had happened at all. The road stretched ahead in pale silence, cut through trees that stood still and indifferent, their branches barely moving under the weak night wind. No blood on the path. No screams. No smoke thick enough to stain the sky here. No silver-covered beasts ripping through people. No open mouths shouting in terror. Just the soft rumble of the car, the low growl of the engine, a

Divorced Husband Wants Me Back

Divorced Husband Wants Me Back

A road. I saw hope and continued. The road was at the lower elevation of the land and I had to go down. I suddenly saw a light and when I turned to my right, I saw a car moving so fast. That's my hope! I held onto the nearest trea to support myself as I went down but Dan fired again and I lost my focus. I rolled on the dirt and rolled straight to the road. I feel like I saw Heaven when the light from the coming car blinded me after I rolled in the middle of the road.

Her Path of Thorns

Her Path of Thorns

I need some alone to cleann my mind and refill my soul. slowly getting up, I took a hold of the wall and stood steadily. This bloody alcohol made me stumble on my feet. I promised myself not to touch this bloody alcohol. never. holding the wall like a lizard a slowly taking small steps towards the main door. I was soaked in alcohol, yet the urge of seeing my family lead me out of the house. the darkness of night already gestured me to sleep quietly yet I ignored it and went to my car. opening the door of the driver's seat I sat inside and looked for a key in my pockets.

Happy that I came across this book, where it portrayed the emotions of a woman when she is going through an abusive marriage. Loved the ending where she decides to move on in her life rather than to give 2nd chance to her abusive husband, which he doesn't deserve either. Hoping for more such stories

loved the book, it was such a emotional roller-coaster ride. The character Kaushalya will always stay in my mind because she isn't a fictional character anymore. Sanjiv and Ram are two totally different characters and I loved how author showed their flaws. though I'm in love with Ram. thanks author.

He Divorced Me… But I Was Never His To Lose(regret & desire)

The Road That Led Only One Way Daniel remained by the window for several long seconds after speaking, his hand still holding the edge of the curtain as though letting it fall would somehow make the sight outside less real, while the low growl of engines continued rolling through the forest with increasing intensity until it became impossible to distinguish one vehicle from another because the entire mountain road had transformed into an unbroken procession of headlights weaving between the snow-covered trees, advancing with the quiet confidence of people who knew exactly where they were going and fully expected to find what they had come for.

HER MOTHER’S HUSBAND

HER MOTHER’S HUSBAND

Just the car and the predawn and the October dark and him in the driver’s seat three feet away. He drove. I looked at the road. The estate gates opening ahead of us, the automatic swing of them, and then the road, the country road, the specific quality of a road before the world has fully woken up, the headlights picking out the hedgerows and the tarmac and the occasional reflective eye of something in the verge. “Thank you,” I said. “For letting me come.” He looked at the road. “You would have found a way anyway,” he said.

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

Because someone had seen a light. and believed they weren't alone anymore. Tears stung my eyes. Not from sadness. From understanding. This... This was how roads began. Not with stone. Not with bridges. Not even with maps. With one light. Answering another. The Wayfinder sailed onward beneath unfamiliar stars. Behind us, the old roads healed. Ahead of us, the first new road waited to be built. And somewhere beyond those countless little lights... someone lifted a lantern for the very first time— believing, against all reason—
