She closed the little distance between her and Iris and lifted a perfectly manicured fingertip to her innocent face, tracing a path down to her jaw.
“I’ll tell you something, sweetheart,” she started, staring Iris dead in the eyes. “In case you’re wondering, I’m not bothered about you being in my man’s secret house,” she continued, laying too much emphasis on the secret word, “because I know you’re just a shiny, pretty little thing that he likes having around for the sake of…you know, aesthetics.”
