“The things he made you do… !” My heart drops at her words; how did she know? “How…?” Caterina blinks, and a small smile crosses her face. “I guess no one told you about my Sight?” I shake my head. “Your Sight?” “The Goddess blessed me with the gift…amongst other things,” she says, then sits down again. “It only happens by touch, but I can see anything from the past to the future, although it’s all jumbled up. Once, it happened when I caught an unknown scent. we later discovered that it was Fenriz’s scent left on his warriors and what I saw were his dead wives.”

Blood! That was what it looked like. As scared as a lost little kitten, he sat up in fear his eyes landing on blood sitting on his shirt, his Blue striped shirt. He pulled it up to check if he had a wound just below it but found nothing. His eyes couldn't escape the blood that was sitting just below his Brown pant, his Black leather shoe on them. At the sight of more blood, he scurried up to search his body thoroughly for where it came from. Strangely he felt no pain nor was he wounded and this troubled him. His eyes trailed after the pool of blood, following it to the very end.

7 years ago "Doctor what happened to her?" I heard my mother's soft voice. "She has Retinitis Pigmentosa." I heard, what I assumed, the doctor "W-What is that?" My mother's trembling voice asked as I felt her hand grip mine. Something was wrong with me. Everything was black. I know for sure my eyes were open but I can't seem to see anything. I heard someone sigh. "M-mom, I cannot. I cannot see." I said as I tried to sit up but someone pushed me down. "Please settle down, honey while I talk to the doctor." My mother said.

I opened my eyes and saw the knife held firmly in a hand just inches from me. Following the line of his arm, I saw the seventeen-year-old Ryan appear in front of me. His abdomen was wrapped in thick bandages. His eyes were bloodshot with fury. He stared at the thirty-year-old Ryan with a gaze that shifted from anger to disbelief and, finally, to utter despair. He gripped the sharp knife tightly. Blood dripped from his hand. It fell into my eyes and blurred into a brilliant poppy flower.

*Brook* “What if I can tap into your Sight?” River groans as if I’ve said the stupidest thing he’s ever heard. I’ve heard that groan a lot in my life, but I’ve also been right more than I’ve been wrong. “It doesn’t work that way,” Permiton says carefully, as though he’s afraid I’ll break if he pushes too hard. “The Sight is innate. I was born with it. It’s not some reservoir you can just dip into.”

Sage hums, and then blinks her eyes until her normal eye colouring returns. “Why did your eyes go like that?” I ask, unable to keep the tremble from my voice. “That is the true sight. It is easy to see bond tethers when they are right in front of you, but to see them at a further distance, especially if that tether leads to someone you have never met, you will need to delve deeper and draw on the true sight.” “How do I do that?” “With practice. Do you have a female friend that has joined the academy with you today? Someone you feel safe around?” Sage asks.
