I whispered, trying to stand my ground, but my legs instinctively shuffled backwards. ​“My name is Blade Silas. Your new boss,” he said. A smile flickered across his lips, a brief, chilling movement that held no warmth. Suddenly, his eyes flashed deadly gold. ​I blinked, certain it was a trick of the light, but I knew it was his eyes. Before I could look again, he turned and left.

Her face was perfectly framed with piercing blue eyes. "Hey. My name is Edelyn." She introduces herself with a soft smile on her face. We greet her and i watch as Ian calms down considerably and stares at her star stuck, while Scar looks a teeny tiny bit jealous. We continue talking for a while. A slow song starts playing and Sam asks me if i would be willing to dance with him. I say yes and all of us make our way to the dance floor. Just as soon as his hands wrap around my waist, the lights go out and we hear a gunshot followed by a scream. My blood runs cold and the room turns dead silent for a moment before all hell runs loose. *************************************************************

Compared to how Blade was trembling, Chris was the picture of calmness. A hopeless look flashed in Blade's eyes. He cursed himself for being so unlucky. Chapter Forty-Seven The Ones Who Remembered Silence swept across the battlefield. Not complete silence. The wounded still groaned. Stone continued falling from the fractured ceiling. I watched each hair falling on the sink. I placed back the pair of scissors on the sink near the pack of black crystal reaching my hand for the roll of bandages on the sink. I carefully wrapped it around my breast, until I couldn’t see any of that god forsaken part of my body. I pulled the old grey hoodie and pair of old jeans from the chair beside me wearing them. I took the pack of black crystal and shoved it at the back of my jeans. One last time I stared at the new Siren Weapon before me.
