I said, looking directly into her ancient, wise eyes. Mira’s nostrils flared as she sniffed the air around me. She frowned. "You smell of silver. Heavily." My heart pounded. "Please, check me." She motioned for me to lie on the examination table and placed her hands on my chest. As she used her own wolf to sense my condition, her eyes suddenly turned gold—the sign of a shaman entering a trance. A few seconds later, she snapped her eyes open, staring at me in shock.

“When Jade transformed, of course I had to document such wonder, I took a picture but then she caught me.” “Jade's eyes were red and almost eerie, she looked nothing like the small girl whom I watched skipping away from her team members.” “Without a word, she bit me so hard that I blacked out.” Silver shivered as he touched his neck, his other hand moved to a picture on the book. The picture had a very handsome boy with black hair looking so pale, he could pass off as a corpse. “When I woke up from my coma, I found myself at home.” Silver sighed, pointing at himself. “Everything at that point seemed like a dream to me, that was until I started having these dreams, these dreadful visions.”

Amara felt it immediately. Kael’s posture stiffened. Lucian went unnaturally still. Even Dante—who had just entered behind them—stopped moving completely. Amara looked between them slowly. “…What?” No one answered immediately. That terrified her. Finally, Dante spoke quietly. “Silver eyes are rare.” Kael’s jaw tightened visibly.

At the same moment, his blue eyes bled into silver. “Good.”

“I'll rip your tongue out, son of a bitch.” Katie growled, but he only reacted by pressing his body even harder against her, which only fueled her need. Her own body was betraying her. “Who the hell are you?” he growled, his voice piercing her skin, giving her goosebumps.
