The Soul Collector Book

The novel consists of several mini-stories about therapy sessions at a therapy clinic named "Soulmate", but the letters "m-a-t-e" were broken in a storm. Each mini-story is narrated by both the psychologists and the patients, describe the patients' worldview, why they do what seems "mentally ill" to us. We often say that the patients' head is abnormal, that their way of thinking is so weird. But is there any possibility that it's because they received different (whether right or wrong) information, so they react differently? Is that just because we "normal people" haven't got enough understanding about this world? Throughout the story, we could see that therapy sessions are a two-way arrow. While the experts are affecting the patient, the patient is also influencing them,“When you look deeply into the darkness, the deep darkness is also looking into you". The story does not make any conclusion about who is right or which world is real, maybe all of them are real, maybe they are all virtual, or maybe, it all doesn't matter. Isn't the world where we live? Wherever you live, that's your world.

Following the success of her two novels, Cela receives an offer for the TV adaptation of her stories but a third story has to be written soon to complete a three-story special. She is not in to the project until she rediscovers the paper bearing the address of the meeting place of her supposed first date with Nate. Now that her mother is no longer around to interfere, she becomes inspired to reunite with him after many years and hopefully write the third novel based on their new story. Unfortunately, he is now about to get married in two months. Disappointed with the turn of events, she decides not to meet him again. She visits their old meeting place and finds it a good place to write but unexpectedly meets him there. They agree not to talk to each other if they meet there again but fate leads them to meet again under different circumstances leaving them no choice but to speak to each other. Suddenly, Nate’s fiancée starts acting weird and suggests that he spend the weekend with Cela while she is away. Although it confuses him, he figures that it is her way of helping him get closure. The two spend one Sunday reminiscing the past expecting a closure in the end but the wonderful moment they share this time only makes it harder to achieve that closure so Cela has to put a stop to it saying, “Please don't think even for a second that there is still something left or something new to explore after everything that happened or did not happen. This is not a novel. This is reality. We don't get sequels or spin-offs in real life. We just continue. We move forward and that's how we get to the ending."

The rain starts to hit at my window, I can see dull clouds slowly coming over. I frown as I look trying to ease my mind. Again my mood is reflected in the weather outside. I'm still unsure if it is 100% me that makes it happen, but it seems too much of a coincidence for it to not. It isn't often the weather reflects my mood, when it does it's usually because I'm riddled with anxiety or stress and unable able to control my feelings. Luckily its a rarity, though today as I sit looking out of the window I can't help but think about the giant task at hand. Can Iris unlock her family secrets and figure out what she is? Love! Is this word beautiful or deceitful? I am tired of hearing him say that soulless I love you and get back to his mistress, side-chick, or whatever. it is not like we are in a relationship or we are a couple. The relationship we are in is more than something which shouldn't be named. I just want to be loved by him, physically and emotionally. I should be the one he is seeking whenever he feels horny, is it wrong to feel like this? But not for only tending to his wounds or being a shoulder to cry on. maybe it's wrong to feel something for the man who never describes you as more than a friend but always looks at you like he wants to do things with you that friends shouldn't.
