She Owned Him Before He Knew Her Name

She Owned Him Before He Knew Her Name

in the tone of someone picking up a conversation that had technically ended but hadn't fully closed. She said: "Morning." She did not look at Diana. She didn't need to. She could feel the update happening in real time — Diana watching Marcus say morning in that register, watching Celeste receive it, watching the quality of the space between two people who had been in a library at midnight and were now performing professional normalcy with the slight compression of people doing so deliberately. Diana's calculation updated. Celeste felt it land.

Sixty Days To Leave You

Sixty Days To Leave You

Three notes carried separately for decades by two people in different cities who had no idea the other was carrying them. Landing here. On a Thursday evening. In a small sitting room. He looked at her. She looked at him. And the space between them, which had been managed and measured and maintained and then quietly and stubbornly narrowed, became something that required no name to be real. It simply was. It had always been. From before either of them knew it was happening. “Twenty-three days,” she said softly. “Yes,” he said. “And then everything after,” she said. “Yes.”

Blessed Luna Rising: A Dark Medical Mate-Bond Revenge

Blessed Luna Rising: A Dark Medical Mate-Bond Revenge

“You’re enjoying this too much.” “Last one, I promise,” he said. “Rule five: if either of us needs space—real space—we say it. Out loud. No disappearing. No slamming the bond shut without warning. We say ‘I need to be in my own head for a while’ and trust the other not to take it as abandonment.” Her ribs tightened at the phrasing. Her wolf, skittish where “space” and “leaving” were concerned, bristled, then slowly eased at the “no disappearing.”

CHASING HIS EX-WIFE: My ex-husband wants me-too late

CHASING HIS EX-WIFE: My ex-husband wants me-too late

And for a moment, for the specific suspended moment of two people who have seen each other across a distance and are both deciding what to do with the seeing, the paddock continued around them and the personnel continued their business and the circuit did its after-race thing and none of it reached either of them because they were in the specific pocket of stillness that the space between them had become. She looked at him and felt the thing that passed between them and tried to name it and found that the naming required categories she didn't currently have access to, that what was moving across the forty feet of paddock between them was older than any of the categories their recent interact

Claimed by Death

Claimed by Death

Kieran’s Point of View Distance is a discipline. It is not absence. It is not cruelty. It is the deliberate maintenance of space so that function remains intact and consequence stays predictable. I have practiced it longer than most things have existed. This should be simple. I leave the dream space before it finishes thinning. I withdraw my presence with care, sealing the edges so no trace lingers that the system might notice. By the time her waking world fully asserts itself, I am already elsewhere.

HEAT BETWEEN THE LINES

HEAT BETWEEN THE LINES

Both professionally and personally. Emma stared at the message, her heart aching at the vulnerability in Jake's words. She typed and deleted several responses before settling on: *I miss you too. I think I need some time to figure out what I really want.* Jake's response came quickly: *Of course. Take all the time you need. I'm not going anywhere.*

Howl for Justice

Howl for Justice

I breathe and the air is full, full of the spaces between us, full of the spaces that are not, full of the spaces that are real, that are alive, that are alive. I breathe. The words change everything, change everything in the small spaces of the office, change everything in the large spaces of me. The words fill the spaces that used to be empty, that used to be large, that used to be empty. He is more than I can take, more than I know, more than I want to let him be, more than I let him be, more than I let him, more than I want to let him, more than I let him, more than I let him be, more than I can let him be.

Between two worlds

Between two worlds

My career in content creation had skyrocketed, and I needed space to focus, to grow, and to explore new opportunities. The new town I had chosen wasn’t too far from my old one. It was the perfect distance—close enough to maintain ties to the familiar, but far enough that I could breathe without feeling stifled by my past. The streets were quieter here, the air seemed fresher, and the people, though unfamiliar, had a kindness that felt like a welcome embrace. It wasn’t perfect, but it felt like a fresh start.

What Separates Me and You

What Separates Me and You

Besides, she was undeserving of one in the first place. Josephine took a few bites of her dinner before retreating to her bedroom for the night. She was unable to sleep that night, seeing as her insomnia was getting worse. After tossing and turning on her bed for over two hours, she realized that Lewis had actually entered her room. He lay down next to Josephine immediately but did not hug her like usual. Instead, Lewis turned around so that his back would be facing her. Both of them turned their backs on each other while lying on the same bed. There was a weird gap between them in the middle of the bed, which symbolized the rift that separated the sky from the earth.

Rayna Pelkonen
This is one of the saddest female leads ever. It keeps getting worse for the FL. The plot is unclear. The reason for him being with both women and his feelings are unclear. It’s entertaining but not very satisfying. Like to know what his feelings are towards them and hope things get better for FL.
Malu Jabian
hoping that the author would create a heart wrenching regrets for lewis and a happy ending for Josephine for finding a rich man who truly cares, loved and willing to protect her i hope this novel wont end up like the others where the female being tortured & gets back to their male partners

Yeah, the guidelines seem simple and I'm sure the spell is easy for someone whose thoughts aren't constantly banging at their skull for attention. I pace up and down my room and read the guidelines from the book one last time. I close my eyes again and steady my breathing. I feel the oxygen fill my lungs as my chest rises and falls. I envision my happy place and try to remember how I let out a peaceful sigh as I watched the sunset over the calm sea. Happiness and calm begin to wash over me and I use it to my advantage.
