Jesse watched me with concern, and I stood there trying not to completely lose my mind. "I need a drink." I said and turned around. I headed straight for my purse as I knew there was nothing strong enough in the house that would help. I did not bother to say anything to Jesse as I left the house and headed in the direction of a nearby gas station. As I walked the sidewalk, I let my mind race. I had a ghost in my house. She looked at Diego with her red eyes. Her black lips stretched into a smile. “Don’t tell me you’re thinking of escaping, child…”
