After I Left, He Begged for Me Back

After I Left, He Begged for Me Back

Chapter 2: The Beginning --- Still at Alexander Kingston’s mansion, Elena felt quite puzzled when she was led walking quite far toward the back of the mansion, where there was something like a small house near the garden. Its location was almost close to the small forest that indeed stood behind the mansion. When she turned to look behind her, Elena could clearly see from a distance that Alexander was still standing behind the glass wall of the study, as if wanting to make sure that Elena would enter the room that would become her place in that mansion.

Everlasting Fire

Everlasting Fire

I asked again. “She left in the middle of the night. She left a note claiming she couldn’t do this anymore. Couldn’t live a life of rules and confinement. She couldn’t be mated to a monster destined to bring her into a life of darkness. She left and told no one of her intentions or true destination.” Silas said. I could feel the uncertainty of his words. Feel the lies pouring from between his lips.

The Space Between Moons

The Space Between Moons

_*]:min-w-0 gap-3 standard-markdown"> This is the last chapter. Not because the story ends — the story does not end, the morning keeps coming, the archive keeps growing, the function keeps being practiced by people who care whether the other person is fully received. Tomas will finish the founding archive. Breen's framework will be used. The function will travel to new places. New packs will read the eighth notebook and either recognize what it is or not. Those who recognize it will begin. The story does not end. But this chapter is the last one. Because the story that began in February — a woman driving through a mountain pass in the dark, feeling a territory find her signal, thinking I kno

UNDISCLOSED

"Knowing what actually happened. After fifteen years of the wrong version." She was quiet for a moment. "I built a story," she said. "About why I left. About what it meant." She looked at her glass. "The story I told myself was that I had not been enough. That whatever we had was real but not sufficient." She paused. "I built a whole life around that story. Around being sufficient. Around making sure I was never in a position where my enoughness was someone else's decision." "Adaomi"

I Left the Dead Behind… but His Childhood Sweetheart Didn't

I Left the Dead Behind… but His Childhood Sweetheart Didn't

I officially returned to my post as a forensic pathologist. I heard Maddox was transferred elsewhere, but I didn't care. He did come to me once, asking to get back together. But after I harshly humiliated him, he backed off. After everything was finally settled, I took leave and returned to my hometown. I handed the mother worm I had taken from Jessica to my Grandaunt Tabitha, who knew how to dispose of it. With some effort, she burned the mother worm to death. Once the mother worm died, the child worm inside me disappeared as well.

The wife he left behind

The wife he left behind

He was listening with his full attention, the book closed on his knee, his cereal finished. “Jonah,” she said carefully. “I want to tell you some things. And then I want to tell you something that is going to be unexpected. Is that okay.” “Yes.” She told him about the photograph. About Caroline. About the side letter and the payments and the four years before her marriage. She told it plainly without performing anything and she heard him breathing on the other end, taking it in, the specific rhythm of someone absorbing things they had suspected and are now having confirmed.

Gen YA
The storyline is good but I hope the author should refrain from so many redundant repetitive words, dialogues, side thoughts, actions of the characters, which are becoming an annoyance, tiresome to read further, just be direct with the story.

Chapter 32 and I cannot stop. A very young boy deciding to find everyone the world forgot, it sounds simple until you’re actually reading it and realising how profound it is. Dave doesn’t feel like a fictional child. He feels completely real. And every chapter ends right, this book is amazing!!!

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

She looked up at the canopy, at the slivers of sky between the leaves. “It’s a good story, Mama,” she whispered. “It’s the best story,” I replied. I closed my eyes. I felt Lina’s hand relax in mine. I felt her story, the incredible, paradoxical, beautiful story of my daughter, gently wind down to its own peaceful conclusion. And then, there was only the forest. The whisper of the wind. The scent of jasmine. Our story was over. Not with a bang, or a whimper, but with a quiet, satisfied sigh. We had returned our borrowed stardust, our narrative had woven itself back into the great, silent tapestry of being.

Leaving the Past Behind

Leaving the Past Behind

"Molly, I know I've been buried in work and haven't been there for you. I get it if you want to walk away over this. We can pretend nothing happened if you just come home with me. I really miss your cooking." I got so annoyed when he brought up my cooking that I couldn't stop myself from rolling my eyes. Two months earlier, Jerry sent me a message out of nowhere. He told me to go to the borderland hunting grounds, buy fresh venison, and make him a stew. But I was sick that day, burning up with fever and shivering from the cold. Still, I dragged myself through pouring rain to get there anyway. The weather was so awful that none of the hunters had even bothered to go out, so I had to hunt myse

The Billionaire I Left Behind

The Billionaire I Left Behind

"Of losing you." The confession surprised him. She continued. "I didn't leave because I stopped loving you." Her voice became softer. "I left because I thought staying would destroy both of us." Lorenzo looked away. For years, he had believed she abandoned him. That she chose to leave. That their love meant less to her than he thought. Now he was hearing something different. "Why didn't you ask me?" The question broke her heart. Because she had asked herself the same thing countless times. "I tried."

My Boyfriend and Best Friend Left Me Behind

My Boyfriend and Best Friend Left Me Behind

It happened on the last shipment run I ever went on. My boyfriend and my best friend left me behind at the transfer station. I waited there for half an hour before they remembered they were one person short. Lawson called me, impatience all over his voice. "Why didn't you get in the truck?" "We're in a hurry for the celebration dinner tonight. We can't turn around." "Stop making a scene. Figure it out yourself." My mouth opened. No sound came out. Beth's voice carried through the line, clear and grating. "We're all adults here. Why does every little thing have to be handled for her?" "She has to grow up sometime." I listened to all of it and hung up without a word. The old me would have apol
