Tug of War

Tug of War

"The more you pull away from me, the more determined I'm to pull you towards me." "How flattering." She grimaced. "The little boy wants to play tug of war with me." "I don't understand you!" He suddenly burst out. "I'm already offering you something you won't get from anyone and probably you won't have for the rest of your life but still have to guts to turn it down, to turn me down." "Now that's exactly why I don't want to accept your offer." She snapped back. "You're so full of yourself. You think everyone's willing to bow down in front of you and kiss your shiny shoes in worship. You're so pathetic."

Reborn Without You

Reborn Without You

"Looks like Nikki has finally met a real rival." He frowned at Christopher's calm demeanor. "How are you not even worried? Aren't you afraid—" "Talents recognize each other," Christopher said calmly. "They might make excellent teammates." Luke's eyes widened in realization. "So you saw this coming all along." In business, the best talent must be recruited. If someone refused, it only meant the offer wasn't enough or wasn't positioned right. "If Sophia is willing to team up with Nikki, that team could take on anyone without fear."

Although this story is about Chris and Amelia, I think its better if they end up with someone else. Chris has mental health issues and his way of protecting Amelia is causing her more pain and confusion. He always gets involve with other people giving Amelia and her child no peace at all.
Mansi Khera
What is this Amelia Going other city chris and all other follows, Amelia came back seems all city moved back.. suddenly Nicole case comes and disappear..earlier Amelia was partner in Nova nine later employee..I means story running without logic, this is happens when you drag the story unnecessarily.

Love Ended First

Love Ended First

I listened to my boyfriend, Kyle Wyatt, make yet another promise. As usual, I did not argue. My thumb scrolled idly through social media while his dismissive voice droned through the phone. "Sally, you have no idea how hard it is to recruit real talent these days. Someone like Anya, with her overseas credentials, is one in a thousand. The company needs people like her to keep growing. You're the one who's always telling me I should use every tool at my disposal to retain top talent, right?

Runaway Heiress: The Billionaire’s Forgotten Bride

"They see an exodus. They see brain drain. They see projects like Berlin stalling because there is no one left to run them." She threw a file onto the table. "The shareholders are demanding a vote of no confidence," she said. "They want to know why we are losing our best people to a startup nobody had heard of three weeks ago." "Voss Industries is not a startup," Aurora said. She was sitting to Liam’s right. She wasn't standing. She was leaning forward, her hands clasped on top of her notebook. She wore a cream blazer that looked like armor. "It is a weapon," Aurora continued. "Funded by a war chest that was built to destroy this family. They aren't hiring our people because they need talent

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

"On higher ranked planets children are tested for their level of talent when they are seven. The ranking scales are more than just bloodline classifiers. When I was 7 years old, like many other children, I was tested. My talent was great. It trumped many others. I was referred to as the greatest genius in a thousand years. My small family had suddenly been thrust into the center, garnering everyone's attention. We were finally able to experience the fifth of politics first hand. It took us a while, but we finally became accustomed to it. Just when we were getting more comfortable with the change, my little brother finally had his test." "My parents and I prayed he would have an average talen

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

The First Heir

The First Heir

Lyle tested his talent and smiled smugly because he knew he would win the bet. The talent testing device was very advanced. It could test a practitioner’s talent by pouring some energy into it, while an ordinary person had to do it with a drop of blood. The best talent would be indicated by a golden light, which was the highest it could go. The first batch of troublemakers had very poor talents, and their results were almost embarrassing to look at. Some of them even displayed a black light, which was simply a disgrace.

love this book...the way the writer builds up the characters most especially the ML..but i was wondering why would the ML have to endure such humiliations from his inlaws when he could just show them his real 'him' as well and the enormous power that he holds considering the status of his family...w

Talon - A Warriors MC Romance

Talon - A Warriors MC Romance

This was different. This was stepping into a war I wasn’t sure I wanted to be a part of. Laura’s voice broke the silence, soft but steady. “Talon… if there are more people like Richter out there… you have to do something.” I looked at her, my heart aching at the resolve in her eyes. She was right too, damn it. I couldn’t just ignore this. But the risk — not just to me, but to her, to Scarlett, to our unborn child — it was crazy. Insane.

BLOOD WAR

BLOOD WAR

The Bell Tower vibrated. The child’s form flickered again. “I don’t want to be ranked,” he said softly. Evelyn looked at him. “Then don’t accept it.” Lucien’s voice tightened. “It is not voluntary.” She stepped forward. “Then we make it incompatible with us.” Serah raised an eyebrow. “That sounds like your version of refusing paperwork again.” “Close enough,” Rowan said. Elara nodded. “We disrupt comparability.” The Blood God lifted his hand slightly. “Introduce irreducible variance.”

The Way of the Dragon

And at this very moment! On the enormous plaza, there were more than three hundred geniuses from the ten great powers. Most of them planned on taking advantage of the upcoming Hundred Domains Competition to gain experience. For them, the rankings of the hundred regions were simply dispensable. As for the remaining 700 Talents, they had to go all out to perform as well as possible and strive for outstanding results so that the upper echelon of other forces would take a fancy to them and they could make great progress.

Enjoying the book tremendously, the characters names and even the tone of the author changed in the last 1/3 of the book was a bit confusing but was able to adjust to the changes the plot is definitely engaging and keeps you pushing to see how it all plays out for Zepher but it seem to abruptly?
