I need to find the ground. " Let's gooooooooo!" Carson said as he began to pull me and the others along. We made a trek through the packouse into a room that was a mini cinema. The seats where the extra comfy ones that had padding and laid back a bit. There also was a small area that held all the movie type snacks you woudl expect. " We have three rooms for movie watching. This one was not in use so we can just watch whatever. Everyone grab snacks!" Robbie said moving towards the popcorn machine. Eventhough I just ate my tongue poked out to lick my lips. I could already taste the buttery salty goodness.

Here let me get you water and a damp cloth." It's 7:15 am. Collin turns on the television. All the movies are in Italian. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is playing. It works for me. Collin nurses me back to health yet again.

She half walked and half ran all the way, arriving twenty minutes later at her destination. The rink was a ruin. But ruins had their own kind of beauty. The moonlight didn't care, it painted the ice in shades of silver making it shimmer like a frozen lake. She ran her hands on the worn boards that gleamed like polished bone under the brilliant moonlight, staring up at the roof that was half-gone. The walls wept with moss, and the cold air smelt of rot and something sweet—wild roses, maybe, crawling up the chain-link fence that still surrounded the ruins.

An account I've never heard of, rivalrytea, four hundred followers up to almost forty thousand in an hour. The thumbnail is a blurry frame of firelight and a blonde girl with her shirt halfway over her head. The caption says: west rivers cheer captain begging for it at 5am 😭 the way he said no Under it there are already nine thousand comments. I watch about four seconds before I have to look away. Kenzie's voice, thin and desperate through the tiny speaker. Zane's voice, flat as a table.

two fugitives bound by a ring and a dead man’s blessing. As we scrambled through the backyard, the cream lace—my wedding dress—snagged on a jagged thicket of thorns. I didn't stop. I pulled with everything I had, the sound of the fabric ripping echoing like a scream in the quiet of the old man's backyard. A long, jagged strip stayed behind, dancing on the thorns like a ghost. I didn't know why, but the sound felt like an omen. The 'legal shield' hadn't even lasted an hour before it was torn to shreds." As we hit the main road, the briefcase felt like a lead weight between us. We weren't just running for our lives anymore. We were running with the only evidence that could take the enemies dow

"Alright. Why don’t both parties take some time to cool off? The hearing is tomorrow, and the judge will make a ruling." After I got home, I exported all the videos from my phone, then I edited them and added captions. At midnight: The sound of drilling from Unit 601. Footage of Carl stuffing toothpicks into my lock. Mason dumping trash outside my door and hanging the dead rat. At the end, I added a photo of my mother’s shattered urn beside my diagnosis report. I captioned it: "Residents of Unit 601, the Carvers have been harassing and bullying me because I bought my apartment $30,000 below market. They destroyed my late mother’s ashes and attempted to extort $230,000 from me."

The three of us were all 24 years old that year. Liam never told me he kept Christine somewhere else. All I knew was that Liam had been busy since Christine borrowed the money. He often worked overtime and even stayed out all night. He also grew indifferent to me. Liam and I had not even been intimate this past month. Even when he was at home, he deliberately kept a distance from me. When I asked him why, he only said he was too busy and tired. It turned out... It was a hot day, but I had chills. Feeling nauseous, I started retching on the roadside while holding on to the telephone pole. I had no idea how I got home. The chills only faded when I soaked in the bathtub filled with warm water.

“Cute couple goals! You two are already making headlines!” I leaned down, lips intentionally brushing his ear. “Smile like you mean it,” I whispered, voice rough and only for him. Jeffery forced a smile through clenched teeth, eyes flashing a warning that he was barely holding it together. My hand stayed firmly on his waist, feeling the heat through his shirt and the way his muscles stayed tense. Suspense grew in my chest with every step. The flashes kept coming, blindingly bright, making everything feel too real, too fast, like the ground was shifting

In the Toronto Raiders' locker room, Lucas is scrolling through his feed when his thumb suddenly freezes. He blinks, certain he's hallucinating, but as he clicks into the trending hashtag, his pupils shrink in disbelief. On the screen, bathed in a soft, cinematic sunlight that makes the scene look suspiciously like a still from a romance movie, is Mia. She's sitting on a wooden campus bench, tucked under the shade of a maple tree, her face tilted toward a tall, undeniably handsome European man.
