The Tunnel: The Other Side Of Darkness の小説・ストーリー

"Then let's go." I pulled the door open, and the darkness inside swallowed us whole. --- The tunnel was narrow, barely wide enough for two people to walk side by side. The walls were damp and cold, covered in a thick layer of moss that smelled like decay. I could hear the drip of water somewhere in the distance, slow and rhythmic, like the beating of a heart. My breath came in shallow gasps, my heart pounding so loud I was sure it would give us away.

"Where are you going? I thought you'll sleep with me?" "Yes but ..." I sighed. "We're different, you can't sleep with light, you like darkness and me, I can't sleep without the light. I loathe darkness, Phoenix." He slowly tilted my chin and searched for my eyes. He remained staring at me and when I was about to get drown by his stares, he gently stroked my chin and sighed. "Be the light of my darkness, then." He said softly, his eyes dropped on my lips. He looks tempted, I saw him gulping and my heart raced when I remembered Lacy panty saying that when her boyfriend is like this.

A tiny moment of normal inside complete chaos. Then gunshots echoed nearby again. Reality crashed back instantly. “MOVE!” David ordered. We hurried into the tunnel quickly while Vivian locked the metal door behind us. Darkness surrounded us almost immediately except for a weak flashlight. Water dripped slowly from old pipes overhead. The deeper we walked, the colder the tunnel became. And strangely… The silence between all of us felt heavier than the danger outside. Because too many secrets were still unanswered. Especially mine. Finally, I looked toward David.

Sabin took the lead, brushing past her, and there was no moment of hesitation. Looking around, there barely was any light through this hallway besides the small, dimmed lights on each side of the walls as she walked by them, but they did nothing to illuminate the halls; everything was dark...it felt haunted, and it scared her. It all felt like this one big lousy dream she kept living and couldn't wake herself up from. It was a never-ending hallway; she'd lost count of the doors she'd passed. She watched as Sabin suddenly stopped walking, standing in front of a door, and when he reached to open it, she'd sworn she'd seen his hands tremble and shake slightly.

Bohdan, Cara and Ashley caught up with Rancid and Isaac in the tunnel. The vampires had excellent night vision and didn’t require the extra lights, even in total darkness. No one knew for sure how long the tunnel ran, but they figured it would be around three or four miles. At first the tunnel was lined with concrete with tubing and wire bundles running along the ceiling. As they moved on the smooth walls gave way to a broken and crumbling concrete façade and finally to Earth and soil with wood supports that held up the loose ceiling. It looked like the tunnel had never been finished and they didn’t know what they would find at the end.

A young man with a dirty bandage all over his face, people missing limbs, open cuts, pale skin, rotten, dark, and empty eyes, while others only had dark endless pits where the eyes once used to be. After what felt like an eternity, I could finally let my feet give in and slide down to a sitting position on the cold ground. This side was lighter; the cold and straight-out horrific feeling from the dark tunnel we had just passed was gone. But even if the other side here is much brighter, the feeling was the same. Cold, distanced but simultaneously incredibly heavy and suffocating, leading me to believe this was not the shiny hope I assumed it to be. “Come on, girly, we had our 5 minutes, and w

The air in the dungeon is thick with the stench of rot and despair, a fetid miasma that clings to the walls and seeps into the bones of those who dare to enter. Chains rattle faintly as Alpha Wilson strides through the darkened corridor, his footsteps echoing like the tolling of a death knell. The torches lining the walls flicker, casting grotesque shadows that dance across his chiseled features. His eyes are cold, merciless, as he approaches the cell where Charmaine, the traitor, awaits her fate.

Title: Shadows Beneath the Surface Lena's POV The tunnel air was clammy and heavy, heavy with the smell of dirt and rot. My own breath jerked in and out of my body in ragged gasps as I held tight to Damian's arm, my legs managing a stumbling jog to keep up with his long strides. We'd left the immediate threat behind, but I knew better than to think we were really safe. The darkness that surrounded us wasn't only physical—it was weighted, tense, with a presence that made my skin prickle.

The sound of a mountain falling in on itself roared behind them, a funeral dirge for a heart of crystal and song. They ran through the dark, the ground shaking beneath their feet. The tunnel was rough and sloped steeply downward. They slipped on wet stone, the children stumbling, but Ronan and Cade kept them moving, half-carrying the smallest ones. After what felt like an eternity, the shaking stopped. The roar of the collapse faded behind them. They were in a cold, dark, natural tunnel, deep beneath the earth. The only sound was their ragged breathing and the quiet, persistent hum of the Seed.

she said, her voice steely with purpose. “This way,” the doctor whispered urgently, gesturing toward the wall behind a rusted cabinet. He pulled it aside, revealing a narrow passage hidden behind a false panel. “I used this route when bringing Lyra the drugs. It’s off Darius’s radar, for now.” We stepped into the dark tunnel, the air colder but somehow filled with hope. Every step forward was a step toward freedom. Toward Sophia. Toward war. We walked through the dark tunnel, the walls damp and narrow, brushing against our shoulders as we pushed forward. Every step echoed like a whisper of the dead. My legs trembled from exhaustion, but the fire inside me burned brighter with every inch we ga
