Alan There is a moment between dying and not dying where everything is perfectly quiet. Not the quiet of sleep, not the quiet of a room with the door shut and the world locked out. Something else entirely. Something so deep and complete that calling it quiet felt wrong, felt like the wrong word for a thing that had no word, because it was not the absence of sound…it was the absence of everything, and it was not terrifying the way I had always imagined it would be. It was a relief.

“You like games, I see.” The person says and then fires his weapon. The sound of the gun going off shakes my entire core and I fall to ground. “Give me the phone, Quincy. This time, no one can save you from my wrath.” He says. ............... It’s dark, why is it so dark? I think my eyes are closed. I open my eyes and I can hear a ringing in my ears, it’s torture. I look around the room and everything goes blurry and then clear again. What’s happening?

(Sharian Roden POV) "Clai, do you have a walk tonight?" I asked Clai, and he didn't seem to hear me. We are inside the IC room. "Hey! What? I'm asking you!" I said grabbed the book he was reading. "Aist, can you please don't disturb me first? The novel is so good that I'm reading it day and night." Clai said grabbing the book again. "Ugh what so great about that novel?"

I just shook my head and pressed down the button on my walkie. “Hey guys we've got a dead at our rear, end of the street, closing fast.” I stated clear and quiet. Speaking up or firing a gun now would be a very bad move. Like all things evil the dead tended to be more active during the night and a loud sound would draw them to us like wildfire. “Can you handle this quietly West?” Wheelers voice asked through the small device and I grit my teeth. This was one way to get my mind off of Jake.

A war already started when Lilith sent that first bloody threat letter to me and she was going to drown in it. Charlie was working on unlocking the hidden page of the Book of the Undead since we had it in our custody. It would’ve been faster if Silverclaw’s Zeta could’ve joined him and helped but no… Adrian wasn’t answering our fucking letters and it’s made me a bundle of edgy nerves.
