Bright red, like fire. "What the hell is this?" the aggressive man shouted, his voice cracking with fear. The symbols flared brighter. The heat in the air intensified, becoming unbearable. She took Vivian’s arm, gently guiding her out of the gallery. As they walked back towards the inhabited parts of the castle, Vivian’s mind was far from supper or the Duke. It was fixed on the shadowy figure, the owl stone hidden against her thigh, and the chilling truths he’d offered. She lost it immediately and I ran after her. But a lady stopped me so I punched her and flick my wand to her and perfect timing Hella hit her too. “You can have the brat.” She said and I ran to her. When I reached the room where she was her stare greeted me but I instantly cast a spell to make a barrier. At my last flick, it did hit her and her body turned into an hourglass. ‘I want to keep her,’ no one could turn her back but me. I went out and saw Hell sitting on the wrecked couch.

Jenna worked on the ring while Crimson struggled with the hourglass. “HURRY!” Elektris was hissing way more viciously than even the Gorgon sisters. The hourglass that was the Okulus had started to slip. Crimson pulled on hard. Jenna was not having any luck with Reign. The ring stuck onto the goddess's finger like glue. But the Okulus, it was sliding slowly and ever so slightly off of her arm. Sounds came from ahead of them and the faces of Andrews, Susan, Cassie, started coming into view until they were all almost there. They could take turns taking it off.

Jessica's eyes glimmered, but she did not care. "Time's up!" Then, Caspian pointed at the hourglass. Jessica looked at the hourglass, and it was indeed just as Caspian said, all the sand fell to the bottom of the hourglass. The one minute passed by so quickly, and Jessica felt somewhat unsatisfied. Moreover, she never felt that feeling when she fought someone else. Never. Seeing how Jessica was still eager, Caspian did not even give her a chance. "The time's up! Give me the money, and I want to switch them for blood essence!"

“I’m not a hero.” “I’m the villain remember,” he reminded me with a grin. “All good villains know how to identify heroes.” He turned his attention to the vine, and the plant pulled back, the vines withering, the flowers and leaves falling, until there was nothing but the faintest shadow on the stone to indicate that it had ever existed at all.
