Walker growled, “You’re testing me, you son of a bitch, and no one fucks with what is mine.” “Yours? Word has it she’s nothing to you, Walker. What’s a little poor bitch from Weeping Willow got going on with you? Nothing. You’ll be happy to see her go just like everyone else.” Walker’s eyes turned and two of the men standing guard next to him were easily taken down by his ability to fight dirty. Pulling a knife from his boot, Walker moved forward at his vampiric speed and cut a slash right down the middle of another Rager’s shirt—almost slicing him open.

I say ‘mostly’ because there are symbols—or pictures—amidst the written word, as though some meanings couldn’t be communicated through the written word. Moving to the last several pages a family of five sitting behind the bars, the next image a woman stood before them. The next the male had shifted into something not quite werewolf or Lycan as the woman shielded the children. The last showing the woman’s head severed, held in the air as her blood ran down the beas

Jesus . Her mood continued to sour into disquiet the further she went in. There were things on a few of the printouts Emma wished she hadn’t seen. At one point, the eyes of a werewolf with a bodybuilder physique burned into her from an old woodcut, its jaws embedded in the midsection of a victim dangling from its hand like an hors d’oeuvre. In a black and white photo, a grim line of men in Civil War regalia posed for the camera, the winged corpse of something that resembled a dinosaur stretched out at their feet. Emma’s fingertips began sticking to the pages. She wiped a sleeve across her brow before any of the gathering sweat could slide off her face and smear the ink.

Because of Cedric's worries and fears that Nicholas might not last long while working with the Major family, he decided to resign on behalf of Nicholas. Suddenly it goes completely silent. “Stop it!” Aviva hisses, her arm locked around Andrew’s thick neck. She hisses with fury as she forces his snout to his chest, pinning him down with her weight. I drop into the grass, watching with my heart hammering as the new rogues stop at the very edge of the forest. The golden sunlight draws over them, showing off their tangled, deformed bodies in a new way. They’re ugly and mottled. Walking dead. One of them turns to where Aviva and Andrew are lying in the grass, just out of sight.

He froze in place and shallowed his breathing while he looked to see two more walking not far behind her. He was grateful that his leg had stopped bleeding heavily and that he’d gutted the deer so that the smell of its blood would overshadow the smell of his own. Even if it was only a small amount of blood oozing from him at that point, the breeze was blowing in their direction and he didn’t trust that the zombies wouldn’t have picked up on its scent, had the deer not been there. After all, they may look like a human, but their humanity was long gone. They were mindless, unmerciful predators who were driven by animal instinct.

High above, on the ridge of the ravine, a nightmare crested the horizon. It was a Purge Walker—a bipedal tank designed for hunting Highbloods in the broken terrain of the Wastes. It moved with a jerky, insectoid grace, hydraulic pistons hissing with every step. It was a silhouette of black iron against the purple sky, a monolith of death. A beam of white light sliced through the darkness. It swept the canyon floor, cutting through the steam I had released. The light was blinding, physical in its intensity. It washed over the rocks, hunting, dissecting the shadows.

The pungent smell of their bodies was so strong that Aiden could smell it from so far out. “Walkers!” Aiden soon realised what they were once he spotted them. Walkers were the lowest form of Undead. They were easy to deal with for any strong Beastman and usually Aiden would not have bothered with them, but he was currently injured and could barely move a muscle. He wouldn’t be able to deal with them! This wasn’t the right time!

The cover depicted a drawing of a werewolf, a vampire, and witch, in a savage position, poised to attack a helpless human sprawled at their feet. A red danger sign was crossed over the three supernatural creatures, with the caption "The Imminent Threat of Non-Human Entities - A fight for the preservation of Mankind" written boldly on top of it.
