The Whisper Man Novels & Stories

The rival pack that hated Shadowmoor more than death itself. "God, please," I breathed. "Don’t let them recognize me. Don’t let them throw me out." I couldn’t go back. Not after what I’d endured. I’d scrub floors. I’d beg. Anything but that. I was still frozen when a firm tap landed on my shoulder. I spun around, heart thundering, and found myself staring at a man built like a fortress. Military-grade handsome. Sharp blue eyes, a jaw cut from stone. Without a word, he gestured for me to follow.

I slapped my hands over my hears to muffle the voices out, but it barely worked. The whispers still sounded like they were in side of my head aswell as they were all around the forest. The disturbance and chaos they brought within me made me want to scream. The fear of being found made me bite the inside of my cheeks until I tasted blood, stopping the scream from forcing its way out of my lips. I couldn't understand what the whispers were saying, disturbing me even more. "Stop." I finally whispered, my voice barely audible over the rest. A twig snapped behind me, and I quickly turned around to see the man walking towards me, the Blind Alpha of the pack, the same one who has horror stories to

Alone. Staring at the cracked mirror. He didn’t see his reflection. He saw the city. Its cracks. Its scars. Its strength. He whispered, “If you’re watching, Dominion… then watch closely.” As if in answer, a faint rustle echoed from the rafters above. A Whisper operative shifted quietly in the shadows, breath light, body still. He had heard everything. He slipped away through the beams without a sound. And far beyond the ridge, Dominion received the message they had hoped to hear:

They were memories, trying to break through whatever had been done to suppress them. "Mica," I whisper into the darkness, my voice breaking on the name just like his had. "My name is Mica.”

Dante moved swiftly past the main floor, through the kitchen, and to the back cupboard. He opened it, and inside was a medium-sized red buzzer. He hit it, and instantly a section of the wall split open, revealing a narrow passage. Dante stepped inside. There, in the darkened room, sat Whisper, his figure barely visible, framed by the soft glow of his cigarette. “What’s going on?” Dante asked, stepping closer. Whisper didn’t turn. He simply gestured to the file on the small table beside Dante. Dante flipped it open.

"Across seventeen dimensions, your story is told. The human who became prison. Who chose daughter over species. Who built peace from war. You are—are inspiration to billions." I felt uncomfortable. "I'm really not—" "You are," Whisper insisted. "Whether you accept it or not. Your choices echo across realities. Your example changes civilizations. You are—are more than you know." By evening, word had spread. The Rusty Spike was full. Everyone wanting to see the dimensional tourist. Everyone curious. Whisper sat calmly in corner. Observing everything. Taking notes—somehow—without visible writing instruments. Grace arrived home from school. Saw Whisper. Lit up.

He whispered like it was a secret he didn’t want anyone to know. I swallowed and bobbed my head “Yes” He softly bit my ear causing a shiver run down my back “I’m all ears baby. What do you need?” I raised my hands and placed them on his chest “You. I need you Aided” I replied, my voice shaky. His hands cover mine on his chest. He brought his head down on top of my hair and inhaled. Slowly his face came down to my neck and one of his hands left mine to circle around my waist drawing me flush against him.

We were at a standstill, me watching him and him watching me, it was silent and no one dared to speak, but right when he was about to say something, there was a loud howl and the pounding on the forest floor. "What now?" I think to myself, scared that it was going to be something bad this time. But by the way, the Whisper was acting. I knew that it wasn't something that was bad, at least for me. The wolf in front of me growls and starts to walk towards me and once I notice this I start to walk back but I'm stopped when I feel the water touch my feet, I look down and I realize that I am ankle-deep in the water, I look back up and see the man still coming at me but this time with a smirk playi

Ignoring his gaze I walked back to the bartender and asked for another cup but before he could even place the drink on the table in front of me I saw the way he swallowed nervously as he pulled himself back. I turned and I met the eyes of the man that he had whispered something to. I turned to look at the direction of the man and not even a trace of him could be found. What do you want ? I asked as I grabbed the cup of whiskey and glumped it down. “My boss wants a night” he whispered as slides the card in his hands to me. Starring at me man in front of me I didn’t know if I was being crazy or going nuts.

The air was thick with the smell of coal smoke and hot oil, a toxic cloud that muffled the musical whispers of the canyon. Standing at the base of the spire, illuminated by the rhythmic pulse of a blue energy core, was a man. He wore a long, structured coat of Western silk, but beneath the fabric, I could see the glint of metal. His left arm was a complex arrangement of silver pistons and copper wires, moving with a terrifying, inhuman precision. He was looking up at the salt dome, his head tilted in an attitude of profound concentration. When he turned to face us, my heart stopped. It was Silas.
