I know my guardians and a few warriors are behind me. I notice Isabell has moved close to me but she still hasn’t taken her eyes off of Embrose. Jackson has moved closer to me staring out at the wolves. I have a hunch of what is going on. I will deal with that in a little while. We need to get these new wolves taken care of first. Then I need to deal with Valerose. I push my calming glow out to cover all the new wolves. I hear several gasps. A couple of “ She lives.” and a “ The prophecy is true.”

Oh no, I know this sound, I know what happens when the bell rang five times. Then Jake transformed into his wolf, his grey fur exposing and his pointed teeth showing up, he shovels the ground with his claws, getting ready to attack Karien. The last step of punishment, bell-ringing five times, is time to tear out the rival into pieces and toss the pieces to the pack members. No no....this was not happening. I can't see Karien tearing apart in front of me. I can't see him dying in front of me.

Replied Zach, “I didn’t mean it that way buddy! I would never.” I knew he was saying the truth. But this feeling was strong, and it was hard to control it. It was the wolf part of me trying to protect its mate. Zach was a wolf too, so he understood. “Yeah, no hard feelings.” I said and then, changing the subject. “So, how’s it going with the investigation about the prophecy?” There was this old prophecy told by my people, that a darkness would awaken and bring despair to our family. It was believed that this prophecy would soon come true. Zach oversaw the investigation, trying to find what would awaken and try to prevent it.

Acwulf paused then added, “I’ll kill you so slow that you would scream and beg for me to end you.” Conri flinched but didn’t reply. Acwulf didn’t wait for a response. He stepped out, closing the door behind him with a loud bang. Acwulf stood on the porch, staring out into the darkness. Thunder roared while the wind kept pouring. But his thoughts were occupied remembering when Yannis told him about the prophecy. “The no-ordinary wolf holds your fate in her hands. She alone can save you from death, but beware—her heart is tied to another.”

She began to fade with the darkness until no trace of her was seen. Lucia jerked away to earth, panting heavily like she had just run a marathon. Strange, she could remember everything she discussed with her mother. In almost all cases, she barely remembered what took place in the dream. That was a sign... The Witch-Wolf is about to be born... "And where are you headed, Jackson?" A voice trailed him as he sauntered through the thick forest after the meeting of his pack in the forest. He felt heavy because like all other times, he had been frustrated, insulted, and used.

"You speak of destruction, but we are united by a vision of peace and harmony. We will not be swayed by your dark intentions." Shadowfang chuckled darkly. "Your noble intentions are but a feeble shield against the powers that seek to disrupt the prophecy. The prophecy foretells of a time when chaos will reign, and only those who embrace their true nature will survive." Confusion filled the air as the wolves exchanged worried glances. The prophecy had been passed down through generations, spoken of in hushed whispers. It spoke of a great calamity that would test the sanctuary's resolve and its ability to maintain harmony amidst chaos.

Theon chucked at the memory while Naomi shot him some side eye. “That’s what they are worried about.” Lucy stated “There is a prophecy but only some of it is known to us but it is about a child of destiny, a wolf born to a unbreakable bond of a descendant of the Moon goddess and pure Alpha that stands by her side. Only one witch alive knows the full prophecy and it will die with her. I do know its about the destined wolf leading to the downfall of the witches and it lists other great things he will achieve. This is why they are being so careless. They are panicked about you and Alex. It also puts you both in their crosshairs” Lucy nodded in Naomi’s direction.

I stared up at him. “A new prophecy?” Selene asked. Three powerful and great wolves to ever walk the earth. Together they stand, to fight the battle that many have fought and lives were lost. Two shall guide, one shall lead. The one with the mark of the moon. He read out. The words strong enough for the ear to carry. I stirred up from my chair. “I do not understand, who is the third wolf?” Selene nodded to my question. He looked at the picture, staring deeply at it. “A wolf with two skin colour. How rare.” He spoke, his words carrying ancient wisdom.

"But why? I'm not a part of a pack." "You weren't part of a pack," James corrected. "As a wolf you will never attack a human. That would draw questions and make people start looking up here, not to mention the moral consequences of murder. An outcast wolf doesn't feel that way. He saw you and thought food, easy prey." "So he was going to eat me..." Clara shivered. "Yes, but we knew a lone wolf was close to our lands, someone spotted him recently so we expanded our patrol. I was able to kill him before he finished you off, but we weren't able to make it before he bit you."

"Let the bond weaken. Let the wolf sleep. And let the prophecy begin." The leader lowered their hand, their voice cold and resolute. "It is done. The wolf shall sleep, and the bond shall wither. The prophecy is ours to wield."
