Theo was six years old when you were born.” Here I thought Theo was six when I went missing. I think I keep forgetting that I didn’t go missing on the day I was born but five years later, which would make James Seventeen and Theo eleven. Which means, by the time my parents divorced, which was two years after I went missing, both James and Thomas were already adults, but that doesn’t mean it was easy for them.

Mr James said pouring out his anger on me. “Uhm…. I…… am gonna…..”I was still stammering when his phone rang and he excused himself. I swear the best way to being happiness into a home was by bringing a baby around. We finished eating breakfast and Jameson went back to his room to shower and pack since he was also going back home to his mother's today. Tyrese had also gone to freshen up after helping Theo finish off the plates. Thea was sleeping in her crib and I was rocking her. James is still shirtless, hair damp from the shower, towel around his waist. I’m curled in the lounge chair by the window, wrapped in a robe. But the second I see Theo’s face on the screen, my stomach sinks. I know this means my husband is about to fly off somewhere. It always does. I should be used to it.

Thea said, “Everything will turn out fine.” James sighed and returned to his room. Thea watched James’ retreating figure. She had seen his crestfallen expression countless times. She knew that James would never be content living the remainder of his life in this tiny village. She knew he wanted to leave and head to the outside world. She was content being able to spend three years of her life in seclusion alongside James. At that moment, she had the temptation of allowing James to leave. However, her baby was due in two months. She could not compromise at such a crucial moment.
