Nivea's POV: I wake up to an empty bed with a rose and a note in keenan's spot. I pick up the rose and smell it with a smile. Grabbing the note it reads "My love, I'm sorry I couldn't see you when you woke up but I had to help dad with pack business, I'll see you tonight. I love you, Keenan."

If so…well…it was worth it if it means you’re getting this letter. I don’t know how many more I have in me. Letters, I mean. I’ll see over the next week. I just…these are hard to write. I also don’t want to drag it out. I don’t know if this will help or hurt more. Hopefully, it helps. I’ve had to think about these and I don’t know if I’m just delaying you being able to let me go. Amelia's POV I sat in the room with Alpha Gonzales and the injured Alpha Fenrir, my mind consumed by a whirlwind of thoughts and worries. The conversation between the two Alphas drifted in and out of my consciousness, the words fading into the background as I struggled to focus on the present moment. My thoughts kept returning to the letter I had received just before setting off with Alpha Gonzales—a missive that had filled me with a sense of foreboding unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
