This Is War Kennedy Fox Novels & Stories

“You’re not happy, Daddy?” “No, no, Daddy’s happy, baby…I’m just…surprised.” Kane turns on his heel and marches straight back to his bedroom. Willow is still asleep, but he wakes her anyway. She gives him the look of death when she opens her eyes – it's the kind of look only a she-wolf in the last stages of pregnancy can give a man. “What is it?” she growls. “I’m sorry, but…the war is over.” Willow is suddenly wide-awake. “Oh no. Oh, Kane, I am so sorry.”

Looking at everyone, I paused. “Now this war happened again and Marcus and Kane didn’t just involve the wolves, but innocent humans. Giving them a wolf and turning them rogues! But not to worry, we have won the war! We have gotten rid of our problems! Marcus and Kane will forever be history!” I yelled. They yell and cheer with me. “Silence!” I yelled. They all went quiet immediately.

“Don’t worry, you’re safe. Just don’t make a fucking display of this.” Of course she wasn’t going to listen. Foxes were some of the loudest fucking annoying creatures sounding like howling gargles of devish gremlins and she was going to make sure everyone knew she was in there. Plus she was putting up quite the fight inside it was making it difficult to carry the damn thing.

She rose, her gaze fixed on the horizon where the city’s fires shimmered like a thousand crimson eyes. Below, Valenfort prepared for yet another war where humans, vampires, and everything in between would soon redefine what it meant to call something peace.

I had to see what she thought about superheroes and especially “The Fox.” “I got a random question for you. What do you think of the superheroes Lady Rose and General Storm? And what happened to their little fox?” I asked, hoping not to sound as nervous as I felt. “Uh? What do you mean?” Cindy asked, sounding confused. She probably thought I was crazy for asking some random question like that. BOOM The ground shook, and smoke filled the air. People were screaming. It was chaos. “What the hell was that?” Cindy asked. I grabbed her as the familiar smell filled my nose. It could only be one thing and it was not good. “Mutants,” I told her.

I looked as if I had heard the greatest joke under heaven. "Second Elder, have you grown senile? The Fox King has already spoken. You want me to withdraw? Are you trying to start a war between Moonridge and the Fox Clan?" The Second Elder went pale and had no reply. Just then, a commotion came from outside the hall. "The black fox has transformed! The black fox has transformed!" Everyone was shocked and rushed outside. In the middle of the square, a ball of black mist slowly dispersed, revealing a tall, slender figure.

Bruno added. “Great. Now everyone would talk.” I growled. “We are at war, Boss,” Kennedy spoke slowly. “Everyday our boys go out there and they are being singled out by the Dead Revenants and killed in the most horrible ways you can imagine. The prospects are the ones dying the most since they're new and all. The gang needs its president now more than ever.”

The big black horses barely made any sound, there was no conversation among the big guards who had large scary tattoos around them. Leading the guards, were four people on black horses; Demenicus Darke, the alpha of the skull pack, Simion and Euvene Darke, the alpha first twin sons, and lastly Reven. F. Darke, the bastard last son of the alpha, who was known by other packs as the Deathkeeper, because of his brutality and savagery.

Time surely passed very quickly. “We caught one but there were clearly more than one.” Adrian said as he chewed on his chips. “What did you do to him?” I asked. “Oh you don’t want to know what we did to him.” Dean said as he smiled. I frowned and his smile disappeared. “We interrogated him. In fact, we still have the warriors interrogating him right now.” Eaton stated as he leaned forward and reached for food on the coffee table. “He also said something that he would only disclose information to the Luna.”

“So, before we announce the results from the judges, let us welcome the sponsor of this year’s competition to give his speech.” Applause filled the hall as a man rose from the high table to the stage. Rose wasn’t paying attention until a deep voice boomed across the microphone. “Good day everyone. I can see y’all are having a good time.” “Yes!” They all chorused. Rose froze. She knew that voice. She looked up and heart sank. What? Austin is the sponsor? How is he here?” She asked herself. “I must say, I’m privileged to stand before you today.” Austin began his speech.
