Thomas didn’t know what to do, Melissa took him out that night, and they got drunk. The next morning with his head in the toilet, Thomas was lost. Later that day he enlisted in the Marines and never performed that much-needed spell to keep the darkness away. Thomas had stayed in for two years and hit college leaving his powers and witchcraft in the past well, so he thought.

Thomas paused, slowly turning to look at me his cold eyes assessing me. "And what exactly is it that we're doing, Firecracker." Thomas Challenged. What an alphahole. "We are here for goddess knows how long, and I will not spend it dealing with your bossy attitude. I'll sleep when I want to. I will go where I want to, and you will join me on any adventures I insist we go on. As much as I can't stand you either, I'm not going to let you sit in a room the entire time wallowing about your shitty situation. He was dressed in black from head to toe, his usual smirk replaced with a cold, calculating expression. “We’re ready,” Thomas announced to Logan without sparing me a glance. “Our men are armed. We march tonight.” I stiffened. “March? No, you can’t!” Thomas’ head finally snapped toward me, his pale eyes narrowing like I was an insect buzzing in his ear. “Sarah,” he drawled. “You’re still breathing, I see.”

"You know I have to say, I can't wait to see what Havoc has planned for you tomorrow. You made pretty good timing getting here despite your broken leg." Halbert slowly glanced to the side out of his peripheral view. Leaning against a tree with his battle axe hefted on his shoulder was Thomas, he didn't even bother sparing Halbert a glance as he ate an apple. ... Thomas’ gaze lowered to his hands, and his eyes widened before he looked back down. “Go home to your families,” he growled before he walked past them to his door.

The next night by the fire outside stood Rio, Lucien, Claude, and Thomas. “I’m heading out to gather more recruits. We’ll need as many as we can get and I know some ol’ soldiers that owe me debts. So I’m off to collect,” Thomas said. “Be safe, brother!” Lucien said with a heavy voice. “Always!” Thomas picked up his bag and disappeared into the darkness. A little while later. The underground chamber off to the side of the camp was silent, except for the drip of water echoing off stone.

When he arrived at the door of the wooden house James was in, Aphrodite and Venus stood in his way. “Who’s there?” Thomas looked at the two. Though he was wearing a mask, his eyes were bloodshot, as if they belonged to a demon. With a simple glance, Aphrodite and Venus were rooted to the spot, petrified. Then, Thomas opened the door. Judas fell asleep with the screen of the security camera in Mavie's room still playing on his tablet. He was awakened by a soft sound of groaning. At first, Judas did not notice that the sound was coming from the tablet right next to his right thigh, where it had slid from his hold before he dozed off that night.
