When I started college, my new roommate secretly used my phone to take a selfie. She sent it to the guy I was in an online relationship with and added the caption: [Baby, do you think I'm beautiful?] My boyfriend replied with a giant question mark, followed by a voice message full of curses. "Just thinking about dating someone with that face makes me want to puke!" "Let's break up, you ugly freak. Stay far away from me!" By the time I got out of the shower and tried to explain, I realized he had already blocked me. My roommate, holding her own phone, smugly told me, "The streamer I've had my eye on just added me. He says he wants to start an online relationship." When I looked at the account, I saw it was none other than my ex-boyfriend.

"You lazy fool, what the hell are you still doing sitting down here?" Her stepmother raged, "Are you thinking about Alpha William." She smirked. "You better get him out of your mind because he is way above your league." Jane could feel inside of her cringe at her step mothers words. "I…I.." Jane stuttered, her head downcast "Enough with the stuttering, it's past dinner time, and you are still here." She yelled. "You better behave yourself or face more consequences for your clumsiness." Her father chided. "You must not be reminded of your duties every other day."

There is an old school built near in the forest several decades ago and there is a tree house at the back of the school. It has been neglected and almost abandoned by time, so many spirits have lived here. Many wonders have also happened in the area that have frightened people who know the story about the tree house. Until the wealthy couple renovated the old school for student to use again. They have two children. Their eldest son is studying abroad with his grandfather and one of their daughter's named Samantha will be there to study. One day the student was suddenly possessed by an demonic spirit. What happened to the girl was so horrible that the teachers and some students could not bear with the strength of the girl. They called a witch doctor and a priest to expel the spirit that was in the girl's body but they failed to defeat the demonic spirit. Until they thought of seeking help from a paranormal investigator. When he arrived he began the prayer o ritual to cast out the dreaded spirit. The girl healed but she sustained many wounds on her body. After the possession the priest blessed the school and even the tree house. The priest did not try to climb the tree house because of the omnimous presence of spirits. The school has been quite since it was blessed. Just a few months later, there were students playing chase until they no longer realized they had reached the tree house. Suddenly the two children climbed up and entered inside the hut. They stayed a few minutes and panicked. One shouted out while the other one was left inside. What happened to a student who was left inside the hut? Why it called the devil tree house?

On the day of my wedding gown fitting, a stranger burst into the VIP suite and stabbed me with a knife. “You think you deserve a dress this expensive after stealing someone else’s man?” She tore at the delicate fabric of my skirt. Then, with a twisted smile, she hurled a bottle of acid at me. The blade was buried in my lower abdomen. The pain drove me to my knees. She grabbed my hair and yanked my head up. “Gerald’s my husband! What are you? You’re nothing but a mistress who can’t even be seen with him in public!” Blood dripped down my fingers. That was when it finally sank in. The man I had been with for seven years had been keeping another woman by his side. “What’re you staring at? Even if I kill you, with my husband’s influence, no one will dare touch me!” Staring at her smug face, I pulled out my phone with hands slicked in blood and called my brother. “Matt…” My voice was unnervingly calm. “Come pick me up at the bridal shop. And please inform the Hoover family that the engagement is off.”

To take care of my mother after she fell and injured herself, I turned down a promotion and took a week off work to stay by her side. On the day she was discharged from the hospital, she smiled and handed me a small envelope. “Suzy, you’ve worked hard these past few days. This is just a little something from me. Go treat yourself to something good.” I wiped my hands, a quiet warmth spreading through my chest. When I opened the envelope, I froze for a moment. Inside was $2. Still, I told myself it didn’t matter. The amount wasn’t important. What mattered was the thought behind it. But the very next day, while scrolling through social media, I came across a post from my younger brother, the one who hadn’t shown his face at the hospital even once. Nine photos filled the post, all of them showing off a sprawling luxury mansion. In the center was a photo of the purchase contract. The caption read: “Officially the owner of a $2 million riverfront house. Big thanks to Mom for the support!”

Dave and Evelyn were step-siblings who were bound by their parents’ marriage. “You wouldn’t dare abort my child! After everything I’ve done to ensure you get pregnant,” Dave snarled, his eyes burning with fury as he grabbed Evelyn by her hair, yanking her head back. His lips crashed against hers with brutal force. Tears streaked her face as she struggled against him. “We’re siblings, Dave! I can’t have your child. How do you think our parents will react to this? How can they live with this shame?” Evelyn’s voice cracked, trembling with desperation. “I don’t give a fuck about them or what anyone thinks,” he spat, his grip tightening. “You know the rule. Abort my child, and I’ll make sure your father’s blood stains the earth. Don’t test me, dear sister. You know I’ll do it.” Will she disobey Dave and risk the life of the man who raised her, or will she let the child of a forbidden bloodline grow within her?

Love…. You could lose yourself in it or find yourself. It all depends on you. Jealousy…. It drives one to the edge of madness. It paralyzes the mind, and drains the heart, damaging the soul. Siana moved away slightly from his warm breathe blasting on her face and his hand squeezing her thigh firmly. "Everyone out now!" he shouted then a smile came bursting through it all. She was alone shaking with fear and anxiety. She knew how he'd get whenever he was displeased, she knew the kind of psycho he was. He pulled her up from the chair and pushed her up against the wall, her hands enfolded in his and her breath breaking. He looked down then back up at her with a tiring look on his face and sighed "You know you really drive me crazy." his lips hovering over hers.

My mother-in-law and I were traveling together. We'd just checked into the Solenne Hotel in Rivera City and decided to hit the pool. Then this woman—dressed like money and attitude—pinched her nose like we stank. "This is a luxury hotel. How did you people even get in? Sneak in just for the pool? Ugh, I need a test after this." Buzzkill. I snapped, "It's a hotel pool. Guests swim. If that's a problem, go build your own." Her face twisted. "Excuse me? Do you even know who I am? My husband owns this place. We always stay in the top suite. So get out. You reek of broke. You're contaminating the water." Georgina and I traded a look. Ice cold. This was her son's hotel. My husband's. Since when did he come with a second wife?

I had just returned early from a business trip abroad, eager to surprise my five-year-old son. However, as I stood at the entrance of his preschool, the sight before me froze me in place. Without a second thought, a crowd of people pummeled me right there in the street, hitting me with rocks that smashed into my face, breaking my legs with metal pipes, and ripping the clothes from my body before tying me to a streetlamp. It was only then that I realized that in the month I'd been away, my husband had moved his first love into our home, taking my place. However, did he forget? He was nothing more than a man who married into my family! I couldn’t wait to see who couldn’t live without the other!
