“Hmm. I paused, lifted my fork to my mouth. The coconut pie was amazing, but your words interested me more. I was beginning to understand how fiction could reflect and even even inspire real life. “So most books are aimed at both male and female readers. male and female? — No... Techno-thrillers are mainly aimed at men and a romance is aimed mainly for women. With mystery and suspense, some go more to one side and some are in the middle, like mine. Of the genres, by far the most sales are in the Affairs. - Serious? “Damien was teaching me a lot. — So most people — female readers

Wrecking My Husband

I beamed. "Crazy, isn't it?" "Fucking crazy, for real." "First, we put THE DA VINCI CODE by DAN BROWN here." He picked out the book and inserted it in the center line of the shelf. He put HOW TO STOP TIME by MATT HAIG, followed by EVERGREEN by NAOMI HIRAHARA. "Then KISS THE GIRLS by JAMES PATTERSON." He put it next to the first book. "I've read that." I went on in a spur of excitement. "It's a thriller and mystery novel about a detective who's trying to track down a serial killer. So many twists and cliffhangers. Total page-turner." I giggled.

Stalking The Author

Stalking The Author

My life has been a whole bunch of screw-ups until I started writing and somehow years later, after too many minimum wage jobs, Clara picked out my work from her random piles and decided that I was going to be the next bestseller author. My life has been a series of failures, disastrous mess, one thing after another. It has never been easy for me, except for my writing career. It was making me rich, but unhappy and somehow unfulfilled. I thought losing my fiancée was my breaking point. But somehow, Ella, the stalker beauty was pulling me down to another level. If my state that of mind can be a measurement, then my very dark short writings were the clear testament of it. "...and turn those dar

His Uncle's Priceless Jewel: Unmasking His Regret

His Uncle's Priceless Jewel: Unmasking His Regret

So I stayed in my little hidden room, surrounded by old furniture and boxes of memories that belonged to someone else, and I worked on my other secret. Because being the Miracle Doctor wasn't the only thing I did with my free time. I was also a writer. Lyra St. James, the name on the covers of my books, which currently occupied spots three, seven, and twelve on the New York Times bestseller list. Psychological thrillers, the sort with twists that made people stay up way too late reading and then complain about being tired at work the next day. My editor loved me because I delivered early and never caused drama. My readers loved me because I wrote books that made them feel things. My publishe

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

He had been busy arranging the publication process since the two of them met in Elgerson to discuss matters. First was the early promotion stage. After 12 years of silence, the mystery novelist, Mindy Harrison returned with a new suspense thriller following her hit novels, "Murder Weapon" and "The Deserted School". The selling point was there, but… the response wasn't great. Firstly, Mindy had been disconnected from the thriller novel industry for many years. While her reputation remained, her previous glory had faded after a new generation of writers cropped up. Most readers didn't care much for her anymore.

This is a good book. I enjoyed reading it. It’s been a week now with no new chapters. At least end the book with an ending instead of just left it hanging. It’s getting more interesting & I know the readers would like to continue reading it. You know the feeling without closure, no satisfaction.......
adowhatever

Step Too Far: Ruined By Him

Step Too Far: Ruined By Him

“What about you, Mr. Brady, do you read?” "I haven't read in a while. I like thrillers. Lee Child, James Patterson, Stephen King." He tells us as he reaches and takes a piece of steak. "Have you read Harlan Coben? He writes some amazing thrillers like Drop Shot, One False Move, and Tell No One." I'm in my element now. This is safe ground, I love talking about books. I love almost every genre out there. I'll give anything a go once. Indie authors are my favorite as their work is so unique, it's like a diamond in the rough.

When The Alpha Falls He Falls Hard

When The Alpha Falls He Falls Hard

I was delighted to uncover new layers beneath this prickly barista's tough exterior. "So mysteries are your favorite books? Any current authors you'd recommend?" I asked, genuinely curious to know more about her tastes. Aria's eyes lit up, clearly passionate about this topic. "Oh yes! I just finished a great atmospheric thriller by Ruth Ware. And Jean Kwok writes amazing psychological suspense." I smiled as she rattled off a whole list of mystery writers and descriptors for why she loved them. Her enthusiasm was captivating. "I may have to check out some of those. I tend toward action thrillers, but I'm open to new things," I said.

“No doubt.” “What about those two small FedEx boxes?” “Most recent novels from Samhain Horror.” “Awesome. Those books I bought at the Webb County Library sale last week?” “Sorted into general and mystery fiction. Struck the mother lode with all those Mary Higgins Clark novels.” “We cater to all tastes, miss. Unless you like Twilight, 50 Shades of Gray or James Patterson. Folks want drivel, they can drive to Utica.” “Hey. I actually liked Twilight. It wasn’t all bad.”

Instead, he replied with actual books I’ve read before in my first life that he firmly hated. “‘Darkness Within’ is my first recommendation. Absolutely amazing. ‘Death, are you real?’ is also good, as well as ‘The Next Morning’. Those three are my best picks.” I blinked several times, visibly surprised. Earlier events completely shoved to the side as this new discovery of Cassius Silverton reading thriller books had me utterly nonplussed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Recently, I've been diving into some seriously engrossing thriller novels, and it's incredible how many authors have made their mark on the genre. Take Gillian Flynn, for instance. When 'Gone Girl' hit the shelves, it generated such a buzz because of its twisted plot and unreliable narrators that left everyone guessing. Flynn has a knack for capturing the complexities of relationships while maintaining suspense, which kept me on the edge of my seat. Then there’s Harlan Coben, known for his knack for creating intricate plots that often have unexpected twists. I devoured 'Tell No One' and was so captivated by the way he intertwines personal trauma with suspenseful elements. His ability to create relatable characters facing dire situations made his work feel very real and impactful.

Another notable author is Paula Hawkins with her bestseller 'The Girl on the Train.' I was completely drawn into its dark, psychological elements, and her exploration of memory and perception is just brilliant. These titles not only dominate the bestseller lists but also manage to stick with you long after you’ve turned the last page. There’s just something about a well-crafted thriller that gets the adrenaline pumping and keeps you guessing. I find myself constantly recommending these authors to friends looking for something that truly grabs their attention and refuses to let go.
