The ceiling was high. Ancient pillars lined the room. Weapons were mounted on the walls. Armor sets stood frozen as if waiting to be worn again. Scrolls rested inside glass cases. And at the center of the chamber A throne. Not made of gold. Not decorated with jewels. It was carved from dark stone and surrounded by floating symbols identical to the one that had appeared in the sky. I stared at it in silence. My heartbeat echoed loudly in my ears. He twisted his hips, using his Alpha strength to throw her. He hurled her across the room. Untha flew through the air, twisting like a cat. She didn't crash; she landed in a crouch on the rug, then slid backward until she hit the wardrobe. She was up instantly. "Who are you?" Oreon demanded as he scrambled out of bed. He reached for his sword on the nightstand, but Untha kicked it away. The heavy blade skittered under the bed. "I am the End," Untha replied calmly.

The throne room. It was darker than the last time I'd seen it. The windows were covered with heavy drapes and the only light came from a few scattered torches along the walls. At the far end of the room, a throne sat on a raised platform, carved from black stone and draped in shadows that seemed to move on their own. And it was empty. Nala led me inside and the doors closed behind us with a heavy thud. “He’ll be here soon.” She positioned herself near one of the pillars. “You might want to practice what you’re going to say.”

Aiden sat in his throne room, deep in thought. The room was grand, with high vaulted ceilings and walls adorned with intricate carvings and murals depicting epic battles and legendary creatures. The floor was made of polished marble, reflecting the light of the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The throne itself was a masterpiece of craftsmanship, with intricate carvings of dragons and other mythical creatures adorning the arms and backrest.

It was simple but somehow impressive to Randey. If the entry hall had been impressive, the Throne Room left Randey speechless. Much wider than the hall, it extended a great distance on either side, with more pillars placed widely to the side. These pillars were actually carved with Dragon images, and they were arranged in an alternating pattern of black and white. The ceiling, which seemed impossibly high to Randey, was dominated by a huge, circular dome of windows. What lay ahead, however, was what held his attention most raptly.
