I ask in my feminine tone. “Alright, my love.” He says, I feel so disgusted, but I don't have a choice. As he opens the windows, I take the time to scan my surroundings even more. The window is huge, but grilled in a way that it can't be used as an escape route. He really thought this through. “Can I ask where we are?” I asked right behind him as I peep through the window. “Are we at some beach?” I ask as an ocean greets me the moment I look outside.

I jerked straight, wincing when a wave of pain washed over me. “Fuck.” Pushing the comforter away, I stood on shaky legs and moved towards the sound of waves. Light streamed in through the windows. I moved towards one of the window with trembling limbs, my heart thumping wildly against my chest when I looked out through the window. My eyes widened at the sight. Blue. Golden. Green. Those were the only colors that kept filling my eyes wherever my eyes ran. The bright sun peeked at me through the steel bars on the window, the rays of the sun glimmered over the waves as they washed over the golden sand. On the other side, trees spread as far as my eyes could see.

“The sailors say it hums. Like a song under the waves.” A song. The words sent a chill through me. I’d heard songs before not the kind sung by mouths, but the kind that lived in bone. The same kind that had whispered my name in the fog. I stepped closer to the window, pressing my hand against the cold glass. The sea shifted, slow and deliberate, as if it were aware of my watching. For a breath, the reflection in the glass changed. Not my face. Hers. Clara. Her eyes, still red, but softer now almost sad.

I need to shut my mouth. And I find myself suddenly feel uncomfortable. Maybe everything I worn in my body is not mine. I got no choice. I am just stuck in here and let this man succeed to his plan. I breath deeply, lean at the window and at least I am witnessing the beauty of the seascapes. Fresh blue color of the sea!

I try to get rid of the disturbing feeling that is moving up my spine by putting my arms around myself while my heart quickens.

The door slowly opened. No fools. No wind. No darkness that's out. Nothing of what they expected. Behind it was just a children's room. Little. Quiet. Dust. Like someone just went out and never returned. The first thing Aren noticed was the window. Great. To the west. Right on the sea. The last window. The window the letter had spoken of. The slices were blind to salt and time. And yet the last light of the evening fell through.

My steps echo against the polished floors, steady and deliberate until I push open the heavy oak doors open. Striker and Tyson are already there, just as I expected. They are seated casually, but their gazes sharpen the moment I enter. Striker leans back in his chair, his arms crossed, while Tyson watches me with a raised brow, always the more direct of the two. I ignore them both for now, moving to the window that overlooks the sea. The waves crash against the cliffs in the distance, their rhythm steady and relentless.
