Tobi’s POV I was five minutes away from calling it a night when the request came in. Last drop-off. A quiet guy headed home from work. Easy fare. No drama. Then my phone buzzed. New ride request. I glanced at the message preview before accepting. “Come get me immediately. I’m fucked.” I frowned. That was it, no emoji, no explanation. Just sharp and rgent. Pickup location — some high-end club downtown. I almost declined.

“Where is he?” He flicked his cigarette away, not bothering to stomp it out. “Change of plans.” I stiffened. “What kind of change?” He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a phone. “Said to tell you thanks for the cash.
