"My old man lives like a king, with a harem." Lyra added, "The Thane siblings are all vampire hybrids." I realized. "I never actually thought of it." Lyra continued. "Different supernatural creatures have different mana qualities. Level one: Celestials. Level two: Fairies and elves." I noted. "Elves explain Finanna's strength." Scott agreed. "Elves are blessed with immense mana." Lyra outlined the levels: "Level three: Witches and elementals. Level four: Werewolves and vampires."

Miguel The first two days we had to travel slowly as we passed through the dark region. The Bodkins entertained us both nights we were there and yesterday we crossed through what Dierdre called the Twilight Threshold into a very green and purple landscape that she informed me is The Spring Kingdom. We are going to a kingdom known as The Kingdom of Nod…Chimera Fae and dream sprites are the most prominent species after The High Elves that are present in nearly every realm.

They carefully chose their races, taking advantage of the game's Xanthan options, which included: - Dragon shifters called: Dragonari's, with scales that shimmered like the planet's teal blue-green, star-filled skies - Lythari, tall and agile, with skin that shifted between shades of iridescent blue - Krael, sturdy and strong, with horns that grew from their foreheads like twisted crystal - Aethers, ethereal beings with wings that shimmered like stardust - N'Tari, feline humanoids with eyes that burned like embers, that possed magical powers

Besides, there were no pirates who would die unyieldingly. What surprised Christine most was that Knight Eric Bernard had actually brought back a pair of twin fox girls. (According to the setting of this book) Orcs are what humans call them. Internally they call themselves 'Beasts' and are divided into dozens and hundreds of small races such as Lionmen, Tigermen, Leopardmen, Foxmen, Catmen and Rabbitmen.

“If Seraphina’s not bluffing, we need allies. You’ve got old favors—use them.” Ronan’s jaw flexed. “Already working on it.” He felt Talia shift beside him. “You said that line in the letter was a summoning rite,” he said, looking at her. “What kind of creature answers that call?” She swallowed, her throat tight. “In old texts, they called them The Hollowed. Spirits that were once human but fed too long on corrupted magic. They become something else—shapeless, driven by hunger. They don’t just kill. They devour what makes you whole.”

Other breeds filled in: >The Morvath breed: broad-shouldered and iron-eyed, wrestled one another in displays of strength, tearing stone pillars from the ground and hurling them like spears. >The Velmari, pale and lean, drifted through the crowds. Their bites left no scars but sickness—small, deliberate kisses of plague that they gifted as souvenirs to mortal thralls who begged for the honor. >The Draemiri, ash-skinned and crowned with bone horns, they were known for binding mortals into dream-trances that lasted weeks. >The Zeryth, whose mouths split too wide and whose laughter bled into sobbing, the cruelest tricksters among the clans.

So in terms of performance and loyalty, Throltys is someone that I don’t even have to worry about at all.

Seraphina tried to be firm but her soft voice betrayed her. Even still, Bethel sighed and seated herself next to Seraphina. “Familiars are the animals which Vampires can shape shift into. When a vampire child is born, they will have a silver birthmark which shows what their familiar will be. Familiars are a reflection of a Vampires true character.” Seraphina’s brows were knitted trying to make sense of what Bethel was saying. “Is that why Lord Stevano of House De-Buccleuch has that silver serpent on his face?” whispered Rose. “Yes, his familiar is a serpent, in fact the whole House De-Buccluech are reptiles of some sort, bunch of cold-blooded snakes” Bethel trailed off.

I make a self-satisfied face and brush my hair off my shoulders with one hand. I see Azael with a pool stick in hand, walking towards me, with his particular torn black jeans, a white T-shirt that makes his tattoos show through, and a leather jacket. I approach him, pissed off, shortening the space between us, and several of his friends who look similar to him, look me up and down with mischievous smiles.
