Before long, the two love interests were walking toward each other in the afterlife, where they could finally be together.
“Oh, that’s beautiful.” I sniffed, wiping at a tear from the corner of my eye. No matter how many times I saw the movie, it always got me.
“You liked that?”
“Loved it,” I replied. “It’s so romantic to think that two people could meet and fall in love, even if they were from different times.”
He nodded. “You know, that’s kind of like us. Don’t you think?”
I thought about it, and it really was. He was over two hundred years old, and I was eighteen. We definitely were from different times and had found each other, just like the characters in the movie. “Yes, I guess it is.”
