ZAHRA'S POV I felt Dashiell take my hand by the time we entered his chateau and I kept mute as he led me across the long hallway separate from the one our rooms were situated. Amanda After the dinner, where I'd been restricted to a strict diet of vegetables only, I was led back to what would be my room. It was unlike the red room I had been in before. This one was simpler. Chapter 59 As the clock struck midnight, Myra stood in the dimly lit living room of her cozy apartment, preparing to retire for the night. The soft glow from the lamp cast a warm, comforting ambiance, and she took a deep breath, ready to turn off the light and finally rest after a long day. However, just as she reached for the switch, the sudden chime of the doorbell echoed through the silent room, shattering the tranquility that enveloped her. Startled, Myra hesitated, her heart quickening at the unexpected interruption. She tiptoed to the door, her cautious steps barely making a sound on the floor. That room was dirty. I pushed open the door to the smallest guest room in the back of the west wing. It was rarely occupied, and it had a faint scent of dust and abandonment. I sat down on the edge of the bed, the springs complaining with a creak. The numbness wore off, replaced by a tremor that started deep inside and shuddered through me from head to toe. Tall windows looked out over the gardens, and above hung a small crystal chandelier, casting a warm glow throughout the room. "Thank you, Clyde," Violet whispered, still drinking in the sight around her. Clyde gave her a small smile. "I'll be in the room next door if you need anything." She nodded, trying not to let her excitement get the better of her until he was gone. The moment he went out and closed the door, she broke into a grin as she ran to the bed and threw herself on it. The bed was like a cloud, and she plunged into the softness, with a sudden rush of happiness.

"My parents and my sister, Lyla." He turned back to her after nodding and taking another look at the picture. "So, the room?" Hyper aware of his presence behind her, Grace guided him down the corridor. She said, "It's not very large," and opened the second bedroom door. "But it gets good light in the morning." Max entered and looked around the deserted room. With the exception of the dust bunnies beneath the bed and an enigmatic stain on the carpet that Grace had spent hours cleaning, Megan had taken everything.
