My pink tail goes back and forth in the water as I give it a timid try. My tail goes up and down and I move slowly like a little baby dolphin learning to swim for the first time. The mermaids go slowly next to me understanding my inability to swim. Perhaps I should stop being timid and trust the body they have blessed me with. I follow them for a while as we swim in the shallows.

"Wonderful, you're a natural. Let's try something a little more challenging now. Are you ready?" "Yes." Stepping back, Leo demonstrated the basics of the front crawl, his movements fluid and effortless. "Watch closely, and then I want you to try it yourself. Remember to keep your breathing steady and your strokes smooth." He reminded sternly. Megan took a deep breath then she pushed off from the edge and began to mimic Leo's movements, her arms slicing through the water with increasing confidence. As she found her rhythm, a smile of pure joy blossomed on her face, and she could feel the tension in her muscles melting away.

Tim uttered and his lips are trembling and his face is turning red from the heat of the sun. “Kath, where did you learn how to swim? I mean..is there a swimming pool in your village?” Miss Mia asked. He was doing the freestyle stroke, pulling himself through the water with considerable speed. I watched him for a moment, admiring the way his shoulder and back muscles flexed with the movements. His tanned skin was wet and reflected the sun, making him somehow look even sexier than usual. God, I love this guy, I thought, as I blatantly stared at him.

I nodded, stepping into the cold water and pulling the animals behind me. “Hold on to Troi’s saddle,” I told Leila. “I know you can swim but this is fast water. The animals are stronger swimmers than we are.” She nodded, reaching up and securing herself to the saddle horn. I walked into the water until it swept me off my feet. I held on to the lead ropes and started swimming across, Bo overtaking me and passing me in the water. Troi was swimming slowly, pulling Leila across. I could see Garth being swept downriver a little faster than we were, but he didn’t seem to be in distress. I put my head down and started kicking harder.

I walk until the water is up to my waist. Closing my eyes, taking a few breaths, I dive under the water and swim as the shift takes hold. I breach the surface, throwing my head back as I do. My wet hair is thrown back. I open my eyes, smiling as I look at Carter, who is naked as he enters the water. He isn’t scared; he is confident. I swim closer to him when he stops. The water up to his chest.

Vincent helped Katherine into the tandem kayak, his hands steady on her waist, lingering as she settled. "Hold on tight," he said, pushing off into the gentle waves, the paddle slicing through the water with rhythmic strokes. Katherine leaned forward, peering into the depths, her excitement bubbling over. "Look! There, a sea turtle!" Sure enough, a large green turtle surfaced nearby, its flippers paddling lazily before diving back, barnacles dotting its shell. Vincent paddled stronger, guiding them closer to a reef where anemones waved like delicate flowers, clownfish weaving through the tentacles in a dance of orange and white.
