His fingertips brushed against her chilled skin, In an instant, a tempest of transformation swept through the room. Erick's essence seemed to shift, his very breath turning into an incendiary force. It was as though the ferocity of a dragon's exhale had taken residence within him—hot, searing, and utterly untamed. Each exhale brushed over her like a scorching wind, igniting her senses in a way that transcended mere touch.

Her body writhed and twisted as she moved, fast and fierce. "I am going to end this bitch once and for all." Shade growled inside my head as he lunged forward, his jaws gaping wide. A glowing streak of flames erupted out, but the other dragon dodged attack with a quick somersault in the air before she flew above us. "No, you are not getting away from me." Shade roared as he swooped up, his body agile and blasted the dragon with fire that singed the dragon's wings. She roared in anger as she swooped down, her body moving in high speed towards Shade.

I look up into the milky white eyes of my best friend and say one word. “Dragon’s!” **Authors note** I hope you have enjoyed Book 2, the next book, will follow on from this from Monday the 15th of Dec. She saw the red dragon soaring down for another attack when she suddenly transformed into her phoenix and broke through the wall. Fueled by anger, the Phoenix flew directly into the red dragon, slicing his neck open. He tried to sink his teeth into her, and she kicked him with both feet. He quickly sunk his talon into her thigh, and she screeched in pain. The dragon hit her in the head with his powerful tail and knocked her out. Cyrus had her now, and he took off with her in his talons.

A deep, ancient growl echoed from the void. Selene and Nyra froze, swords lowered. Selene’s eyes narrowed. “No… this can’t be.” Nyra steadied her breath. “The prophecy... ” she whispered; “Mother of Ruin… Daughter of Flame… The sky cracks…” From the breach descended something beyond magic, an ancient presence, older than gods. A colossal form, coalescing from storm clouds: a dragon wrought of lightning and shadow, wings spanning the horizon. Its eyes glowed molten white; its roar shook the very foundations.

"How do you even know about the great book?" Sighing, Luca moved towards the back of the cave. Leaning against the rocky wall, he frowned. "After you were infected with the poison, by all rules you should've died..." Gazing at the fire he continued. "The great book had a connection with you, the same way you do with other Dragons. Before the poison could take your life completely, the Great Book sent her last energy to you..." Snapping his gaze back to me, his face hardened. "She has chosen you to have her energy, to live on in her name and help other riders... To be the saviour of the Dragons."

With each breath, she drew in the heat, letting it fuel her determination and guide her forward. As if in response to her unwavering resolve, a path of cool air began to materialize amidst the flames. Sable's eyes widened in astonishment as she realized that her connection to the dragons was granting her protection, shielding her from the scorching heat. Emboldened by this newfound strength, she took another step forward, feeling a surge of exhilaration course through her veins.

the boy stuttered out, a look of loss crossing his fingers. Death smiled, "I would have known if the beast of the fire dragons was here Edwin, your father is hard to kill, " he said grunting. "Dragons? " I echoed. Death looked at me, "Yeah dragons, big lizards that breath fire, " "We are not lizards, " Edwin whined. Death chuckled, "you know I didn't mean it little one, I fell in love with one remember? Now I can't get rid of her, " he muttered.

I uttered, ignoring the bruising I could already feel developing. I gave Fallon a piercing gaze, transmitting the hatred and disgust I felt for him. “I told you, I had to prepare it. The next bit is up to you.” He sneered at me, leaning closer to my face. “And how do I do that?” I leaned even closer still, surprising him a little as he recoiled back. He hadn’t expected that. “You will need to breathe fire on it. In dragon form. It’s the way it will recognise you. It has to have your essence in order to bestow power on you.”

Summer squirmed under his touch, the Old man had wrinkly too pale skin. But he could see it. He could see what led him straight to her. Her eyes. Rich pools of molten gold that seemed to swirl beneath their depth. She was thin and scrawny. "Who would have thought..." He murmured as everyone around watched the two of them silently. He gathered himself quickly and turned to his men. "Take her to the carriage. We leave tonight." He ordered and Rhaegal frowned. "It's too late. The roads aren't safe."
