Was the Earthstalker a creature of myth, a ghost story whispered by the wind? Just as despair began to creep in, a twig snapped in the distance. The Earthstalker, a magnificent creature with the body of a rabbit and the head of a cat, emerged onto the bank, its amber eyes glowing with an eerie intelligence.

His chiselled face painted him out to be no older than seventeen or eighteen. A sinister grin lit up his lips, and it was then I realized the bloodied mess dripping from his chin. I watched in shock as the young man with glowing red eyes lifted a still-convulsing white rabbit to his face and sank his long canines into the animal's neck. His sharp claws held the bunny in place. The poor creature fought and wiggled to get free, but the beast kept gnawing at the head like how a child nibbles on a lollipop.

Gil cried over the loss, but the constant appearance of her wolf managed to distract her, and she soon overcame her sadness. When Gil was fourteen, a friend gave her a black rabbit as a gift. [POV: Colin Smith] Colin sprinted forward weaving around the trees, instinctively avoiding the undergrowth and bumps. After four long years, he was used to running around in the forest. The blasted animal was faster than he had thought. He had been following a thunder-rabbit for a few minutes now. They were a magical beast that looked similar to rabbits, only as big as a dog and their furs stood on ends with shades of purple. It was one of the few D tier beasts that also had a blood sack. Not only were their meat a delicacy, but a blood sack from a D tier beast could also be sold for three silver coins. Which was a lot of money for someone like Colin.

After making sure that everything was out of my system, I do my best to skin the rabbit. Making sure its eyes were the last things I lay my eyes on again.

"Mommy, Daddy and I picked her out together! I named her Sera. Do you like her?" I looked down. Inside the iron cage, the rabbit was huddled tight. Its fur was pure white, but its eyes were bottomless pits of black. "Pet her, Mommy. Sera is such a sweet girl." I forced a smile and reached out my hand. The next second, the rabbit lunged, sinking its incisors deep into my fingertip. A sharp pain shot through my hand. Golden Elven blood instantly welled up, and the rabbit began to lap it up greedily.

I whispered again, because my brain refused to accept it. Ryan didn’t answer immediately. He just kept walking closer… a bit unsteady, but definitely walking, until he stepped fully into the light. Only then did I notice what he was holding. A dead rabbit in one hand… and a bunch of bananas in the other. My eyes widened even more. “Are you…” I pointed at the rabbit, then at the bananas, then at his legs. “You’re standing… and hunting?!” He let out a small breath, his eyes softening as he watched me struggle to understand what I was seeing.
