Top Rated Book Series Novels & Stories

Surprisingly, I don't find the idea disturbing. Feeling boredom as it sets in quickly, I make my way over to the bookshelf. I start to peruse the titles and am shocked at what I find. I see the House of Night Series, The Twilight Series, Forbidden Knowledge, Harry Potter Trilogy, and various books on Military Protocols all with black covers. The books are all in good condition too. Not interested in any of the military books I reach for the first book in the House of Night Series. As I take the book over to the couch to settle in, the door swings open.

I was almost skipping around the store on my toes, my veins pumping with adrenaline and an unnerving excitement that made me so restless as I looked through the books. The minute I reached got to the next Aisle and reached for the Red Kingdom series; The Rise Of The Red Kingdom, The Fall of the Red Kingdom, and Fire and Ice, I felt it again. And this time, it was more intense. It felt like someone was drilling holes into my back with their eyes, causing goosebumps to sprout on my skin. My muscles locked and my hand was almost giving away the pile of books in my hands.

Another murmured not liking the idea. “He is the best at the training and fighting.” I uttered stopping the conversation making everyone look at me. “He is the rightful King of this Kingdom after defeating me. If he has some talent which would help in the saving of many people’s lives, then what is wrong in that.” I added staring at each one of them. “Is he the best?” Elder questioned me. “He defeated me.” I replied, staring at him. “Did he now?” he murmured in a sarcastic way, making me give him an eye roll.

Anonymous mentioned old sci-fi books in passing, referencing a classic series about rogue AIs and lost space colonies. Anonymous: That series is underrated. The way the characters question everything in those abandoned worlds… hits different on nights like this. Leon paused, thumb freezing mid-air. He actually liked that exact series. It was one of his quiet escapes, the dog-eared paperbacks hidden under his bed alongside other secrets. A common interest. He hadn’t expected that. For a moment, his skepticism wavered. Still, he replied carefully, not fully opening yet. Leon: Yeah. Some of those books are okay.
