I wasn’t in favor of that. There was a knock on the door, and I ran from the kitchen towards the door. I needed to talk to Devin about Nathan being here, otherwise our plan would go wrong. Most of the time Devin walked into my house with bubbling about the man he had a crush on for a long time. He was one of the doctors who was in the neurosurgeon department. They both knew one another from their med school, became good friends, but were unable to express their feelings for one another.

His attention was focused on the officiant, like he approached everything else in his life. “I do,” he said simply with no hesitation. The officiant turned toward me.

Devin who had been standing awkwardly behind Morowa cleared his throat to remind her that she had forgotten him. "Oh, I'm sorry Dev, I almost forgot you were there," she pouted making the perfect picture of cuteness which never failed in making Devin melt faster than ice. "Dario, meet Devin, my soon-to-be slave and partner in crime." Devin stepped forward to give Dario a firm hand shake. "I'm Devin and I'm not what she just called me." Dario let out a chuckle. "Don't worry about that," he said. "Just don't mess with my baby panda."

Man, those two are still in good shape even at their age. “Nothing much, just dinner with you annoying people,” Devin has a weird way of showing his love for his father and sister. He even growled earlier when Jameson pulled him for a hug, but he enjoys holding Jaime in his arms. Eve chortled, “let’s have a party for your birthday.” It was more of a statement than a suggestion. “And have those irritating paparazzi nosing in my life? Nah, I’d rather not,” Devin kissed the top of Jaime’s forehead. I admired how sweet and caring he was towards his niece. How I wish I didn’t miss this stage in Griffin’s life. “What?”

She immediately stood, wearing an innocent expression. “Devia? Why would you barge in like this? What have I done to you this time?” Devia clenched her fists. “Stop pretending, Reva!
