With black tinted windows, it was a perfect cover, even cruising in the mornings.
Uncertainty ahead of them, they departed. Tessa watched from the open door. Her heart sank as they got into the Toyota and drove down away from her apartment. Not long after, it disappeared past the hedge-covered side road. When she couldn’t hear the Toyota’s motor anymore, she stared at the horizon, stepped in, and closed the door slowly.
The Toyota headed toward the main road. By the time it got into the center of town, the streets were snarled by the last hour evening traffic. It edged out of it, rounded the block, took the left then whipped out into the south superhighway toward AH26.
