As if everything started moving in fast forward, Robert saw the signal turn green, the girl crossing the road but then suddenly she dropped her toy. She had already crossed the road but she turned back to pick the teddy up, and just then the signal turned red again. The next second, a truck came at her in full speed and smashed

I mumbled, not looking up from my textbook. He sauntered in, a mischievous glint in his eyes. He held a small plastic spaceship, one of my favorites, a relic from my younger days. "Oh, just admiring your… treasures." He spun the spaceship around his finger, a taunting smile on his face. "Give that back, Zane," I said, my voice rising slightly. He just laughed, a cruel, mocking sound. "Or what, little Cole? You gonna cry to Mrs. Cecilia?" He tossed the spaceship up and down, higher and higher, until it finally slipped from his grasp and clattered to the floor, breaking into several pieces.

I jumped on one at 2am. Imagine getting onto a motorcycle ride at 2am with a stranger. I was so scared but I had no choice. Suppose he killed me, rapped me, kidnapped me or robbed me!
