Kane fell asleep as soon as he got into the car. After leaving the cafe, Regina asked Atlas to take them to Kingston Toys, a mall store that only sold a very complete and very large selection of toys. Kane seemed hesitant and refused several times when Regina asked him to pick any toy he liked as a birthday present. But Regina said she would be sad if Kane refused. So, Kane finally agreed and ran from aisle to aisle, choosing toys. He picked up a brick-built model of a Japanese city and a complex-looking wooden fighter plane.

He took two slow steps closer, leaning back against a row of stacked hockey pads. “You did great, Captain,” He tilted his head. “You were a very good boy. But unfortunately for you, plans change. My fun isn't over yet.” “What do you mean?” I asked, my fingers tightening hard around the stick in my lap. Tobias pulled his phone out of his jacket pocket. He tapped the screen a few times, turned the screen toward my face, and hit play. A video started playing on the bright display.

hot-wiring a lawnmower to use as a tank. But then, I looked at the sky. The Purple Sky from the Recycle Bin wasn't there. But something else was. A massive, black cargo plane was circling the city. And from the bottom of the plane, thousands of small, red parachutes were opening. "They're not sending more robots," Rowan whispered, looking up. "What are those?" Sam asked, pointing his phone at the sky. I squinted. They weren't robots. They were **New Toys**.

Toy story 4 or Nemo. Nemo won. Aka his pick. I don't care if he's a kid, this kid is very uneducated about Toy story. He said he didn't even watch the first one. I'm going to have to have a sit-down talk with Lincoln. After just 20 minutes of the movie playing, he falls asleep. I tuck him in bed and get up to go change. Once I'm done showering and change into a pair of sweat shorts and a matching sweatshirt.

My room door i was so sure I had left shut that first night. "He played you," Dante said softly. "He's still playing you. Making you think you have power when really, you're dancing exactly where he wants you. You and Julian both." "Why are you telling me this?" "Because I want you to understand what you are to him. A toy. A possession. Something he acquired and will eventually discard." Dante's hand came to my face. I jerked back. "But it doesn't have to be that way. You could choose differently."

He looked at me with those innocent eyes. "Did somebody make you sad?" "That's a grown-up business." "Adults have too many problems." He took another bite before his expression suddenly brightened. "Can we go shopping?" My eyes widened. "Shopping?" He nodded enthusiastically. "I want a toy." "Fine." ********** By the time we left the shopping center, Jayden was carrying a small bag filled with toys. He had chosen a miniature racing car, a stuffed wolf, and a collection of superhero figures, while I carried the rest.

“The stronger the wolf, the more mates they can sustain bonds with. Four mates means you’re much more powerful than anyone knows.” Despite the indignation that coursed through me—having a fourth mate felt like a curse, not a blessing—part of me was curious about what this mysterious fourth mate might be like. Was he another cocky asshole like Lucas? Another brooding jerk like Rowan? Or something else entirely? But mostly, I just hoped I never ran into him. Three mates were already more trouble than I knew what to do with. “Can we continue training?” I asked. “I want to get stronger so I can figure out how to deal with the Elders.”

There was a giant T-Rex poster on one wall, while on his little desk sat a few robot toys and small cars that looked well-played with. Max spread his arms wide, like he was presenting a miracle. “This is my kingdom!” he said proudly.

“I was bored in the room there. I was just lying down. I didn’t have any toys. Ah! Uncle Harrison gave me a toy!” I sent Tyler a message and told him, “I’ll just call you later. Calix is with me.” Then I put my phone away again. “Mommy, where’s the toy Uncle Harrison gave me?” I took the toy out of the paper bag and gave it to Xander. He stood up and went to Calix. “Uncle, this is the toy that Uncle Harrison gave me ! It’s so cool!” “How awesome, Kiddo. Do you want to play together later?”

The toy . . It’s been a week and no one has heard from Damon. I had sent messages, and they didn’t even turn double, let alone blue. I got up from the bed and entered the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and had my bath. Opening the closet, I pulled out a black body-fitting skirt and a white dress shirt. After putting them on, I applied my makeup and brushed my hair.
