In a blur of fur and bone, Naelis shifted into her huge red primordial wolf. Her fur looked like liquid fire under the sun, and her eyes burned with the golden light of the ancients. Adrian was caught off guard as he had been focused on killing the guards to clear a path, his claws already raised to strike down the nearest warrior.
