It was a beautiful sight.
“Fine,” she said, leaning back slightly. “But if I drown, I’m haunting you.”
“Deal,” I replied, holding onto her waist to keep her steady. The feel of her skin beneath my fingers was enough to drive me insane, but I pushed the thought aside and focused on her.
Her laughter echoed around us as she tried to float, her movements awkward and unsure. I couldn’t help but laugh along with her, the sound of it ringing out over the waves.
“See? Not so bad,” I said after a while, letting go slightly as she found her balance.
