She says, taking a tentative step toward my cave.
“Damn Tana. When you said you had money, I didn’t think it meant that you had millions of dollars in jewels sitting in a cave rotting away.” Ishir says, coming awake and seeing my cave twinkling in the sunlight in various shades of red, green, blue and of course, the diamonds split the sunlight into a rainbow of colors.
“They’re not rotting.” I say, walking in and running my fingers over my jewels, my possessions. They sing to me, and I feel their energy through my touch.
